In celebration of Skee-Lo 90's masterpiece, bruv @hsik challenged me to produce a high speed remix in a week time.
So I went full on an acid footwork blend, cause I wished so ;) My love for the genre is still there and I'm happy to bring new ideas to my game.

A new and more experimental side of the Portuguese producer Afonso Silva, who has already proved himself for a decade on the Drum & Bass scene under the pseudonym of Crawler, Insignio is the mark of the unexpected, even the unheard. Drum & Bass influences are certain, but they come to heckle more innovative trends such as Halftime, Footwork, Nu Jungle and Juke.

These are the ingredients of this Meta EP. Five tracks that give a very personal and thoughtful vision of Bass music, whether it is shaped for the dancefloor or for listening. A good sound resolution to start 2022 with avant-gardism.

Hailing from Denver and formerly known as Survivor Street, Shattering Palms heralds a new era in his music production, with rhythmic, earth-shattering drum grooves combined with deep, ribcage rattling basslines. His production combines industrial techstep drum & bass with hypnotic techno rhythm to lock you in—each piece its own unique take on a harnessed production technique.

‘Snarehammer’, the title track from the EP, is a relentless 4x4 style assault with a twist, using the snare rather than the kick to lead the way with excellent use of percussion to take you out and just as quickly bring you back in. ‘War Drums’ is one of the deeper, moodier takes on the EP, sharp stabs of synth work and deep bass complimenting the perfectly executed drum groove. ‘Renegade’ is a military march into deep, foreboding territory. The bass pattern hits you hard while the drums lurk menacingly alongside. ‘Panic Guaranteed’ marks an epic climax to the EP, the intro building a great sense of tension before the drop is unleashed in a calculated barrage of heavy beats and frequency filling bass.

EXE-D007 is another excellent addition to the EXE Project catalogue, adding to the stable with a range of stellar drum and bass productions, which have already proven to have maximum impact on the dance floor.

As a producer, I wanted to push deeper into sound design, blending UK dubstep and drum and bass with South Indian percussion to create something raw and unique. The track isn’t polished on purpose; it’s rugged, dystopian, and full of energy for clubs and festivals. For me, Sonder Sky is more than music; it’s a vision. The mask, the sound, and the performance all come together as I keep learning, growing, and carving my place in the bass community.
