I can almost hear the deep reverb-y vocals on this. Nice job!

Birdland is the first single from Killem Collective artist Ichikara Valdez’s yet to be titled EP. Focusing on a fusion of house, dance, electronic, Baile Funk, and lo-fi hip-hop, Birdland is a gritty dance floor single reminiscent of the early 90’s/2000’s house scene, with pulsating 808s and a tribal ferocity. The title of the track itself is an homage to the spirit, demons, virtuosity and fervor of the great Charlie Parker, the jazz saxophone titan whom the legendary club Birdland was named after.

This track is a lo-fi R&amp;B, Prince-inspired glimpse into a
lover’s eagerly awaited rendezvous with a new romance.
From the opening keyboard melody to the J Dilla-esque
bounce of the drums, the listener is transported directly into
a Cadillac cruising slowly through Houston, TX on a crisp
evening and propelled by the soaring guitars and falsetto
vocals of Tony Badd into the stratosphere.
