All Eyes West performing Help Is On The Way.
The Chicago scene has always been known for its gritty and honest punk rock defined by bands like Naked Raygun, Screeching Weasel, and 88 Fingers Louie. Newcomers ALL EYES WEST, no strangers themselves to the Chicago scene, are continuing in its great tradition with the release of their self-titled debut LP on Jump Start Records. All Eyes West came together in the summer of 2010 and is lead by vocalist/bassist Justin Miller's emotionally charged lyrics which have been a signature to bands like Signsedso and indie rockers Hinter. Guitarist Jeff Dean is known for honing a guitar sound that has defined bands like The Bomb(with Jeff Pezzati of Naked Raygun) , Noise By Numbers, and Explode And Make Up. In a relatively short amount of time the band has managed to build an impressive resume, touring the US - UK & Europe, playing with bands like OFF!, Alkaline Trio, Seaweed, Bob Mould, Samiam, Rival Schools, Braid, and Amusement Parks on Fire. The band's self-titled effort was recorded at Million Yen Studios by guitarist Jeff Dean and mastered by Jon Drew (Tokyo Police Club, Fucked Up). On it, the band pays homage to 90's rock giants like Swervedriver, Drive Like Jehu, Jawbreaker, and Fugazi while garnering comparisons to bands like Seaweed, Husker Du and early Foo Fighters.

Wild 'n' frantic rock 'n' roll bands are a dying breed in this era of shoegazey, reverb drenched indie pop, but looking like a motorcycle gang straight outta a Fifties drive-in flick and sounding like the rabid love child of Little Richard and The Cramps, The No Tomorrow Boys have spent the last few months trying to change that, performing relentlessly explosive sets across Portland and the greater Northwest with bands such as The Dex Romweber Duo, The Downtown Struts, and Davila 666.

The Stripes are made of two brothers and two sisters. They started about 2 years ago. They were playing piano and violin but really wanted to get into rock and roll. They loved Green Day, Vampire Weekend, Gogol Bordello, and others, but most of all The Aquabats. (They were able to travel to SLC last year and be in an episode of The Aquabats Supershow.)

Elliott, 14, is lead guitar and pretty much runs the show. He is the creative genius. He writes the music and Eden, 12, writes the lyrics. Eden is vocals, second guitar, and keyboard. Eliza, 9, plays bass. Her dad played bass 20 years ago in a band and Eliza plays his same bass now. Everett, 7, is our genius drummer. He decided when he was 5 that he wanted to play drums. He got a junior kit and taught himself. He began lessons in June and has advanced tremendously. All of the kids go to School of Rock in Naperville.

Originally from Montreal, Islands are an LA-based band founded in 2005 by former Unicorns members Nick Thorburn and Jamie Thompson. Their original sound comprises melodic pop, indie rock, folk, and lots of other great music genres that are available to list in a series if one had the right combination of time and diligence. They’re currently touring in support of their fifth full-length album, Ski Mask.

Lucius has been described by the New York Times as having "luscious, luminous, lilting lullabies", by Seventeen Magazine as "alluring and magnetic". Their self-titled debut EP was recorded and produced in the Ditmas Park house where the band was formed. Their full length album is due for release Autumn 2013.

Nathaniel Rappole's solo project Gull is sometimes described as a one-man-band, which is technically correct, but missing the point; Gull's unique take on the genre presents a sonically and visually arresting display of masterful musicianship that is altogether intense, hypnotic, and completely organic, bringing audiences together with his communal-style musical interaction that effortlessly blends religious epiphany with pop culture ecstasy. At a Gull performance, watching the audience is a revelation to this art, as eyes widen, jaws drop and fists pump -- outward signs of the pleasure of an Actual New Experience. 

Too many feathers in the cap to count, Gull has been active for almost a full decade and has spent the last few years relentlessly touring, playing with such diverse acts as White Rabbits, Tres Mts, Jonny Fritz, Melt Banana, Girl Talk, Man Man and Deerhoof.
