Art of the Possible: Towards an International Antifascist Feminist Front. Writer Angela Dimitrakaki and theorist Antonia Majaca were invited by visual artist Sanja Iveković to animate her Monument to Revolution installed in Athens in the context of Documenta 14. The original monument in Berlin (in memory of Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht) was destroyed by the Nazis. The new monument is set symbolically in Athens where the struggle against capitalism is rife. Thirty international feminist contributors, individuals or collectives, were asked to send a short recording on fascism and the importance of feminist struggle against it. The multi-lingual collection of recordings is scored by sound sculptor AGF. Intro by Angela Dimitrakaki AGF (@poemproducer) assembled, scored, mixed the contributions and broadcasted on #Documenta14 #savvyfunk radio on 28 June 2017

Experimental sound platform VAMP Sonic returns to Threads Radio this month with a deep dive into legendary experimental American label Orange Milk Records. Keith Rankin (whose music alias is Giant Claw) has run the imprint for over a decade with his good friend Seth Graham out of Ohio USA, building a solid reputation as pushing the boundaries on a myriad of genres, from Glitch to 80s synthesis, pop to vaporwave, right down to prog rock. The excitement of trying new things is felt in each release (which are frequent, sometimes 2 or 3 in one month) in both the sound and accompanying visual artwork. 

The label has had a big influence in shaping the sound of VAMP Sonic since the project started in 2019. Tune in to hear founder Syd Carlisle delve into this iconic label, mixing together tracks from across the discography in unexpected ways and sharing some insights into the making of each release, and her choices of their selection in the mix. #SoundThatBites

"Having been invited to participate at Asa Baako Festival in a little fishing village in the Western Region of Ghana I took a field recorder with me and documented street scenes, jam sessions, rehearsals and concerts of bands and groups I have been working with whilst out there. After Asa Baako I stayed in Accra, Ghana to work with singer songwriter Tommy Wa and master xylophone player Isaac Birituro, further on I was invited to go to Lagos to work with trumpet maestro Victor Ademofe and do workshops at Jerry Omole's Saxophone Hub in Surelele as well as play a gig at Miliki Members Club.
