I never post live sets, but this one was the most fun set I've ever played so with a bit of a push from a couple people I've  decided I would post it, warts and all. The only edits I made were to shorten the dead air after I reloaded tracks, particularly where I was over zealous and caused equipment issues. Oops. The microphone was also not being recorded that night. It's far from technically perfect, and doesn't quite captured the energy of the moment, but I hope you enjoy it and it brings you back to that momment if you were there!
Just reach out if you want to know what any of the tracks are, I might tell you, but then again might not. The first track is a new unreleased one of mine.

Episode #07 of MJU Residency on Radio Alhara featuring PRCK. Karolis Pročkys aka. PRCK is a connoisseur of UK bass, jungle and various genres of more broken beat electronics. Previously part of the Lithuanian indie rock band Flash Voyage, PRCK now is exploring the and rhythmic side of electronic music, doing both great mixes, releasing his own tracks and promoting bass music in his native Kaunas.  

MJU Residency is a show that highlights alternative music and musicians coming from Eastern Europe, exploring the uniqueness of this area of the world and making it more visible worldwide.

The 12th edition of @endless-concrete-walls on THF Radio had @giordano play in the 1st hour of the show!

The genre-whipping Italian DJ and producer always delivers barely contained chaos. From old-school rave, to UK bass-face inducing wobblers to acid-dripped electronica, Giordano grabs us and pulls u along for the ride whether we're ready or not.
As a key figure shaping the sound of the innovative multidisciplinary label, Fear of Silence, Giordano has garnered acclaim for his releases on Answer Code Request’s label, Voitax and Savy to name a few.
His unique fusion of rave nostalgia and cutting-edge beats has captivated dancefloors from Berlin’s iconic Tresor to London’s Unfold at Fold.

"There are so many different takes on reggaeton." The Latine supergroup discusses dembow, Afro-Caribbean music and more in this Playing Favourites live from C2C Festival.

This week's RA Exchange revisits one of Resident Advisor's flagship live formats, Playing Favourites, where we bring guests onto the pod to walk through their musical influences and play us some tracks that have been formative in their personal and creative development. 

This week, we're honouring El Dia de la Raza—which happened on October 12th—an occasion that remembers the colonisation of Latin America and pays tribute to its heritage and cultural diversity. Our guest is Sangre Nueva, a trio made up of the artists DJ Python, Florentino and Kelman Duran. They all come from different backgrounds: Kelman is a Dominican multidisciplinary artist, Florentino is a musician of Colombian heritage signed to XL Recordings and DJ Python is Ecuadorian-Argentinian, releasing prolifically under a number of aliases in the worlds of ambient and club-adjacent music. 

Together, their style explores pan-Caribbean musical styles, especially dembow, which is experiencing a parallel renaissance in the underground and commercial dance music spheres. In this conversation, they talk to journalist Christine Kakaire from last year's C2C Festival about what it means to approach Latin music from an experimental perspective to bring an amalgamation of Caribbean and Spanish-speaking musical cultures into their work. They also reflect on the stigma that was attached to reggaeton for a long time and the songs that represent its reclamation in the world of contemporary club music culture. Israel is only the executioner, every nation which has armed that country in the past year is an accessory to that genocide, an accomplice, a facilitator.  We cannot talk about war crimes because when you target unarmed civilians, mostly women and children, we are talking about a massacre, like terrorists do, not a war. The people who orchestrated that massacre, in the US, the most duplicitous, followed by those of the UK, Germany, France, and probably a few lesser ones should be tried for crimes against humanity just as well as Netanyahu and his cabinet, because it has been going on for two years, generously reported by media of all kinds, so the enablers knew exactly how the arms were to be used, as a tool for revenge, domination, and humiliation of the Palestinian people.  The conflict has ceased to be about the defense of anything for months.

The parties responsible have made a mockery of decency, morals, fairness, proportion, or justice, not to mention empathy.  Of what little there was, these concepts will be a lot longer to come back than they were to be struck down.

I have not been able to recover access to my other account [https://soundcloud.com/ha-kekong] for a couple of years.  I have tried a few times to get back into it but SoundCloud doesn't trust me.  Same phone number, same email addresses, and they still claim that they can't verify my identity.  I created that account about three years ago as a substitute to my regular account which SoundCloud temporarily closed.  They closed it as part of some upgrade procedure in their system, the result of a bug that affected many accounts, about two years ago.  Since SC did not inform its users I didn't know if that was permanent or not, so I created that other account which I can't access.  Don't be mad if I have not replied to your message in the past two years, that's because I never got them ; ) ... You can always reach me here though.

No it's not Gibraltar, but a little bit further West. ... Actually I checked recently and it is further North more than West, I thought I was facing South when in fact I probably was facing the Atlantic ocean, which is why I suppose the waves were of a decent size where we were.
