The little keys on the computer bounce up an down as they type up the hand written notes. But maybe bouncing is really like the term spin in particle physics. The particles don’t actually spin round in the way that not everything we are discussing under this heading bounces up and down like a ball or a yoyo. The bounce, per se, is not always explicit. The programme encourages listening while juggling: Bounce as work in the club; diaspora - as an adaptive sensibility characterised by loss, survival and endurance; departure; arrival; reverberation; impact; as the condition of late neoliberal capitalism; as victim to inertia; as trauma playing its incessant game of repetition ad nauseam; to bounce from there to here; as the musical genre: Bounce; or ‘to the ounce’; bouncing as the arrow of time that pushes all knowledge and understanding forward, no matter how much resistance, no matter how difficult the struggle.    Step with us from stone to stone, for six hours, separate, but through sonic ties, never, alone.
