Two friends doing what they do best - and paying homage to one of dance music’s most iconic anthems in the process. The tag team of Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten has provided many memorable moments in 2012 thus far, with notable back to back sets in Birmingham, Buenos Aires and Las Vegas to name a few, and each occasion highlights their resurrection of Loops & Tings.

Originally released by Jens in 1993, Loops & Tings exemplified dance music’s explosion throughout Europe in the early part of that decade. The theme became even more familiar to listeners worldwide when Marco V applied his touch ten years after the original, yielding Loops & Tings relooped. Now with Markus Schulz on the verge of releasing his fourth artist album, Scream, he and Ferry Corsten conceive a fitting tribute for 2012 dancefloors.
Debuted during Ferry’s landmark 8 hour Corsten’s Countdown episode 250 broadcast from New York City, Loops & Tings has become an instant request in both DJs’ sets.  From the Electric Daisy Carnivals in Las Vegas and New York to the Godskitchen Boombox in Buenos Aires, and from Markus and Ferry’s respective Ibiza residencies at Privilege and Eden, their recreation allows the new wave of clubbers to enjoy that instantly recognisable melody, transcended from their previous generation.

Against a Dark Background – the full-length studio album from long-standing British techno duo, Spektre – will be released in early 2020 on Pleasurekraft’s esteemed Kraftek imprint.

Following their critically-acclaimed debut album Casting Shadows Without Light in 2010 and their sophomore outing Cyclic Operations in 2013, Against a Dark Background will be the third studio long-player from partners Paul Maddox and Rich Wakley, who have been producing together under the Spektre moniker since 2006.

Currently in the top five-selling techno artists worldwide and with over 500,000 streams per month on Spotify, Spektre have taken the electronic music world by storm over the past few years, with their forward-thinking productions and high-intensity live performances resonating with legions of loyal techno fans across all corners of the globe.

Now key ambassadors for British dance music on a global level, Spektre’s chart-topping productions have received high praise from the likes of Adam Beyer, Carl Cox, Pleasurekraft and Alan Fitzpatrick and the duo are often hailed as one of the most exciting acts to emerge onto the UK techno scene over the past decade.

Talking about the forthcoming album, Spektre commented:

It had been over 5 years since the release of 'Cyclic Operations' when we first started work on the new album in earnest, so we wanted it to be a representation of how our music has evolved in that intervening period. The writing process itself was a lot more reductive than the previous two albums. We holed ourselves up for a few months and hammered out loads and loads of ideas, then filtered and refined the pool through playing them out and getting feedback from a few trusted pairs of ears, until "Against a Dark Background" began to crystallise into its final form.

Is responsible for the massive hit single ‘Greece 2000’. 
This single ruled the European dance-floors for a long period and after conquering the clubs, the track stormed the worldwide single charts and entered at number 12 in the Official U.K Singles Chart! Not to forget the licenses to labels such as the legendary Hooj Choons and ZYX music. 
Also they signed the track to diverse compilations and due to the success of “Greece 2000”, Three Drives remixed a lot of artists. SNAP, Binary Finary, Ferry Corsten, The Vengaboys, Saucerman, Airscape and many more were the lucky ones who received the Three Drives remix touch. 
The guys spent a lot of time in the studio to produce several albums: Theme "2000" and ‘Melodies from the Universe’. 
These highly appreciated albums received a lot credits and were popular among many artist such as Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto and Pete Tong. 
The double release ‘Sunset on Ibiza’ & Air Traffic caused a stir in the UK since Judge Jules played the white label promo for 5 weeks on his BBC Radio 1 show. 
Another hit single stormed the dance charts again and this time it reached nr 1! This time the track was licensed to Xtravaganza Records and released in the UK in September 2001 containing new remixes. 
From that day Greece 2000 become a real classic anthem and has been remixed more the 50 times till today.
Other releases of Three Drives are “Sunset on Ibiza”, “Carrera 2”, “Air traffic”,  “Automatic City”, “Deep Sea” and many more.
All this releases are now under the wings of Armada Music the Netherlands.
In 2014 Ton en Erik decided to go both there separate ways, Erik de Koning will continue Three Drives alone.
Erik was also producer behind many others artist as “Club Royale”, “Mark van Dale”, “Enrico”, “Dj Jurgen”, Tangeld Universe, “Ton Tb” and so on. 
Erik de Koning produced also solo tracks for Blackhole “Rain” and for A State Of Trance ”Dream Flight”
The enormous list of original releases and remixes is endless, and many more productions / remixes will be added to his impressive list, so be aware !
After 20 years in the music industry Three Drives continues to hit the dance floors around the globe with amazing trance music.
