Symmetric & Future of Matter has curated an entrancing and fertile worldview through their ethereal EP entitled “Enthapy”. In their debut release through Steyoyoke Black, Symmetric & Future of Matter injects a level of other-worldly intrigue and nostalgia which creates an intense feeling of unquenchable longing in the listener.

The first track off the EP “Enthalpy” provides a graceful point of departure on a mystical journey into the unknown. Despite the slight dissonance and uncertainty present in the tinkering melodies, there is also a sense of reassurance injected by the unfaltering rhythms throughout the song.

The following track, “West World”, is more generous with dissonance and unsettling undertones, diving immediately into a less flattering and shiny worldview conveyed with dark and echoey percussion and slithering synths. Still there is a sense of hopeful longing which is left unresolved until the last note.

The third and final track “West World (Aquiver Remix)” embodies a more dancefloor sensibility. Rather than dwelling on the intangible peaks and valleys in the original, the remix from the incredibly talented Italian artist, Aquiver, stays decidedly on mid-surface level. The song still has the effect of floating while remaining on a clear and indelible path.

Mol K is the stage name for the Italian DJ Michele Coatti. He always has a passion for music absorbed by his father who made him listen to music since he was a child. This fact led him to immerse himself in the music industry as a DJ and to play professionally exploiting the great passion with the desire to grow more and have fun with people and fun. He began to work hard and seriously since 2016 and produced his first records and to attend the life of clubs. The producer of Pasta Boys and from that moment begins his adventure with his first releases in 8-9-2017 with the EP Dissident and from there to follow with the second E.P. Valhöll in 16-1-2018 with the label Three Hands Records.

Hailing from South Africa, melodic techno artist Jono Stephenson makes his label debut on Dear Deer Recordings with a three-track record titled "Cosmos" EP.

This, his 9th release to date, further solidifies Jono Stephenson’s mark on the international techno landscape through a wild ride containing plenty of hard-hitting rhythms and melodic piano accompaniment.

"Cosmos" is first up and delivers on the galactic trip as the title suggests, right from the onset, with psychedelic synth stabs swirling in the lead up to a dark and ominous bassline which roars to a pulsating rhythm. Large lead stabs continue to build around the solid foundation while harmonic shifts maintain a sense of travel. The breakdown welcomes a sparse piano performance in contrast to the synth-laden body of the track and builds up to include the lead before reaching the drop where harmonic movement drives the musical flow through to the end.

Armed with a repertoire of melodic music made for the dancefloor and a rapidly increasing release schedule, Jono Stephenson is an artist to keep an eye on, as is clear based on his attention-grabbing releases on labels such as Bull In A China Shop, Ambitious Records, SMTC Underground and now, a welcome appearance on Dear Deer Recordings.
