A year after ‘The First Milestone’ we can say that Infinite Depth reached its second milestone. Around this milestone a 10-track strong VA is compiled. On this VA there are some of the label’s familiar faces like His. Creator, U S H N U, Klankveld, Alberth and Symmetric. Besides, we are having back Convolute, Altman and bastinov from earlier remix duties. Also, Infinite Depth is welcoming two new talents, Final Request and Dario Gismondi.

The collection starts off with ‘Evasive’, a dreamy and compelling ambient intro track by the talented Dutch duo Convolute. First the atmospheric elements give you a calm feeling, after which the lower part drags you into the depth. 

From this depth the pleasant intro of His. Creator’s ‘Tears of an Angel’ rises. This track has a hopeful character and is loaded with a lot of emotion. That makes it a great representation of the brighter side of this VA and the label’s sound.

At the third track by Final Request, called ‘The Void’, this brightness got a somewhat fierce layer, which gets accompanied by a underlaying groove. Out of this combination an uplifting lead comes up, resulting in a burst of energy. 

After the dancefloor orientated third track, it’s time for the minimalistic approach of U S H N U. In his track ‘Swallow Fly Far Away’, the drums and percussion are flowing their way through the track. Around this some unexpected and interesting one-shot elements are constructed. Not to forget his self-recorded vocals.

The minimalistic vibe gets preserved in Altman’s ‘Hold On’, but he managed to do this in a more melodic way. The refreshing mixed percussion are giving the space to an intriguing lead, which is going up and down, forming some very intense moments. 

The sixth track is the one by bastinov, called ‘Transition’ and is also belonging to the brighter and emotional side of the VA. The track got directed by dramatic female vocals, which are perfectly in play together with the bright lead synths. 

In their track ‘Vortex’, Klankveld used vocals in a completely different way. Their track is based on short and communicating one-shots. The driving lower part and energetic, but still groovy, elements are making this track perfect for the bigger stages. 

Dario Gismondi’s ‘Cocito’ is opening up the doors to the darkest side of the VA. Unusual, but impressive, drums are forming the base. On top of this base a captivating synth drags you into the track, when suddenly it gets broken down by a dark force.

The nineth track, ‘Oblivion’, got provided by one of the labels residents Alberth. Through the composition he managed to create an increasing intensity in his melody and drums, which gets interrupted by a dreamy break and rises again towards the end of the track. 

The final track is called ‘Desires’ and is brought to you by another resident Symmetric. Around the straight forward lower part a lot of unpredictable components are hovering. With his more techno approach Symmetric delivered an impressive end to this collection of tracks, which are representing the achievement of the label’s second milestone.
