The next release on LIZ EDWARDS – SWAG CLASSIC LABEL is from LEN LEWIS. Len needs no introduction as he was one of the true originators of the early Tech-House sound. Releasing many classics on labels like SWAG – POODLE and his own imprint JOMO. The two cuts featured on this release are – DARK CAVERN. Which originally came out on Poodle Records in 2002, and was recorded upstairs at SWAG records, in the SWAG studio, and was a firm favourite of DJ MATTHEW B. It was also bit of an anthem at all those early London parties and clubs, Like THE END – WIGGLE & KERFUFFLE. The next cut is BAR-B-QUES & BALLGAMES. This came out on SWAG RECORDS in 1999 and was one of Len’s first releases. Both of these tunes, together, would set you back about £60 on Discog’s for a mint copy, but here we have them both on one 12’ - both re-mastered and sounding better than ever. Only 300 pressed so don’t sleep on this.

The Brvtalist is pleased to present Dungeon Dogs’ cover of the goth anthem “A Forest”. Originally written by The Cure, it takes the listener on a new heart-pounding, syn-thillating journey into the heart and mind of Dungeon Dogs. Think haunting vocals in the vein of Nick Cave and I Wanna Be Your Dog-era Iggy Pop with a blend of Chris Isaak’s Wicked Game. 

Respecting the integrity of the original version, Dungeon Dog's’ cover of A Forest is a refreshingly new and extended take on its source material. The lush, aural atmosphere will envelope you with shining reverberations of warm and fuzzy synthesizer waves. While the beat reflects the original from The Cure, new offerings in rhythm and sonic explorations emerge. 

“This being my favorite song by The Cure, I always wanted it to go on twice as long. Often finding myself just keeping this song on repeat. So I performed a version of it where the song wavers and explores a little bit more, similar to how The Cure plays A Forest live.”  - Nick Filth aka Dungeon Dogs.
