The feast of unleavened bread, the law of the firstborn, the wilderness way, the Red Sea crossing, the song of Moses, the song of Miriam, bitter waters made sweet and Jesus tackles some tough issues.

4-022 - Exodus 13-15 and Matthew 22

Leaders make an offering so the Levite’s can labor, the Levites are dedicated and cleansed for their labor, an age range is declared for service in the Tabernacle, Israel celebrates their second passover, The Cloud, The Fire and Jesus faces Pilate, takes the place of Barabbas, is mocked crucified killed and buried in a borrowed tomb.

4-043 - Numbers 7-9 and Mark 15

A house divided starts to wobble,&nbsp;The Angel of the Lord makes an appearance to warn, but instead Israel starts the slippery cycle of sin, desperation, deliverance and right back to sin again, and again, and again. And, Jesus gives an impossible command.

4-073 - Judges 1-3 and John 5

Impossible odds from man’s perspective made even worse by God so that He would get all the glory. Abimelech appoints himself by slaughtering seventy of his family. And, Jesus is inspected by the skeptics, including His own brothers.

4-075 - Judges 7-9 and John 7

Then the children of Israel again&nbsp;did evil in the sight of the Lord, testing the limits of the mercy of the Lord. Jephthah a most unlikely judge is enlisted in the Lord’s service to deliver the Lord’s people. And, an adulteress faces the Light of the world.

4-076 - Judges 10-12 and John 8

A broken heart, bitterness of soul, a vow, an answer, an open womb and a baby boy. A gift given back to God to serve God, to minister to God, to be a prophet of God, Samuel. And Jesus, pours out His heart for His apostles in their last meal together.

4-082 - 1 Samuel 1-3 and John 14

Israel tries to use God like a magic amulet.&nbsp;God refuses to be used that way. The glory of the Lord departs from Israel. The Tabernacle is taken. God disrupts the enemies of Israel on His own. The tabernacle returns on its own. And, Jesus continues teach on what it means to abide in Him.

4-083 - 1 Samuel 4-6 and John 15

Samuel shows Israel how to truly seek God.&nbsp;Their humility is short lived. They eventually ask for a king, rejecting God as their current King. Saul is chosen as king. And, Jesus concludes the teaching portion of the time He had with His apostles before His betrayal.

4-084 - 1 Samuel 7-9 and John 16

Saul is anointed king. Saul is proclaimed king.&nbsp;Samuel addresses the nation at Saul’s coronation. And, Jesus prays for Himself, His disciples and for US.

4-085 - 1 Samuel 10-12 and John 17

David endures news of betrayal, cursing and even&nbsp;stones as he continues on his way out of Jerusalem. Ahithophel’s advice is overturned. Overwhelmed, Ahithophel ends his own life. Absalom’s life is ended by David’s general Joab. And, we are introduced to another murderous man named Saul.

4-098 - 2 Samuel 16-18 and Acts 9

After the death of Absalom,&nbsp;David returns to Jerusalem. Conflict ensues as Israel and Judah enter into yet another civil war. David avenges the Gibeonites, defeats the giants and God opens up the gospel to the Gentiles.

4-099 - 2 Samuel 19-21 and Acts 10

The Psalmist sings once last time. The distressed, indebted and discontented are now mighty men and their exploits are outlined for us. David does something he greatly regrets. And, the gospel spreads among the Gentiles.

4-100 - 2 Samuel 22-24 and Acts 11

Adonijah presumes to be King.&nbsp;Solomon is proclaimed as King. David gives final words of wisdom to Solomon. David dies. Solomon carries out his father’s wishes. Solomon asks for wisdom. God gives it, liberally. And, Peter is freed from prison during a prayer meeting.

4-101 - 1 Kings 1-3 and Acts 12

King Solomon’s administration is listed for us.&nbsp;We see the prosperity and wisdom of Solomon’s reign. Solomon prepares to build to the Temple. Solomon builds the Temple. And… the Holy Spirit says… “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them."

4-102 - 1 Kings 4-6 and Acts 13

Jezebel writes Elijah. Elijah runs from Jezebel.&nbsp;Elijah complains to the Lord. The Lord comforts Elijah with a revelation and an exhortation. Silas and Timothy join Paul in planting the church in Corinth. And, Apollos is discipled by Pricilla and Aquila.

4-107 - 1 Kings 19-20 and Acts 18

Ahaziah asks Baal-Zebub for help&nbsp;and God answers anyway through Elijah. Elisha asks for a double portion as Elijah ascends to heaven. Three kings are directed to dig ditches in the desert. And, the Apostle Paul exhorts the Ephesian elders.

4-109 - 2 Kings 1-3 and Acts 20

God miraculously provides for&nbsp;yet another widow. A proud military man is humbled and healed. An axe head floats. Spiritual eyes are opened. And, people are perplexed about Paul going to Jerusalem.

4-110 - 2 Kings 4-6 and Acts 21

Death and destruction reign during the reign of Jehu.&nbsp;During the reign of Jehu in the North, a seven year old named Jehoash is crowned king in the South. Jehoash walked in the ways of the Lord, mostly. And, the Apostle Paul testifies before the Sanhedrin.

4-112 - 2 Kings 10-12 and Acts 23

Kings, kings and more kings, evil in the North, partially obedient in the South. Elisha dies. God is full of goodness and severity. And, the Apostle Paul shares the good news with the governor, Felix.

4-113 - 2 Kings 13-15 and Acts 24

We are introduced to yet another prophet,&nbsp;a man named Ezekiel, who prophesied for God, before, during and after he was carried away captive. An interesting man with an interesting ministry. And, we are to consider Jesus and run the race marked out for us.

216 - Ezekiel 1-3 and Hebrews 12

We bounce back to before the siege, before&nbsp;the Chaldeans came to take Judah and Jerusalem into captivity. Ezekiel is given interesting illustrations to act out. As God’s heart is crushed by the unfaithfulness of His people. And, we learn to be strengthened by grace.
