Three Colours are Thomas Cajelo, Paddy Doran, Howard Richman and Mike Worthington. 
They formed in the spring of 2009 playing their first gig in November of the same year. This is a band full of contrasts. They have played regularly in London’s growing post-rock DIY scene while also building up a following in intimate living room settings with a far more stripped down approach. Their music fuses grooves and harmony from seemingly disparate genres, creating a sound both unique and engaging. Latin rhythms travel hand-in-hand with post-rock guitar riffs before being bullied out of the way by earth-shattering drops, more reminiscent of Benga than Radiohead. 
On Aide-Memoire lead singer Tomas Cajelo’s lyrics speak out for the voiceless victims of state terrorism and are looped, glitched and fired at the listener to devastating effect as his voice quickly multiplies into a menacing army of defiance. 
He clearly has a sense of humour, albeit a dark one. Calvaire is a miniature, alternative soundtrack to a Belgian horror movie that makes the League of Gentlemen look like Finding Nemo.

They have been likened to Battles, RATATAT, ‘At The Drive-in playing Bloc Party’ and the band’s personal favourite, ‘Acid Skiffle’.

Three Colours have recently been showcased by Radio 1’s Huw Stephens & introduced by Tom Robinson on BBC6 Music and are currently recording their self-produced debut EP which will be available later this year.
