As heard on Anjunadeep 10, ‘Soft Light’ is a thoughtfully constructed journey through BAILE’s visceral production style, whilst LA electronic outfit Kauf provide a compelling vocal feature on the title track. London’s Anii closes out the EP with a tribal-infused club rework to transform ‘Painting Out’ from idyllic downtempo into a tech-heavy club edit.

Captivated by the atmospheric vibe and the calm of ambient music, as well as the state of absolute ecstasy that provokes the powerful beat of techno, this artist decided to explore the perfect balance between both.

Brian Zajak, aka Fejká began his musical career at the age of 17. Torn between the dreamy soft atmosphere of ambient music, and the hard punchy vibe of techno, Fejká couldn’t decide which direction his music production would take. “Day/night, dream/dance, slow/fast – music was always split into two worlds for me” he says. Thus, he decided to experiment with both, showing the development process of dream music into dance music.

Drawn to artists such as Christian Löffler, HVOB and Kiasmos, the appeal of his style lies in its varied influences, and ability to harness the best of two contrasting genres. In the end, it was Christian Löffler himself who approached him, leading to his Debut EP "Twilight" which was released 2017 on Löfflers Label Ki Records. His highly anticipated Debut Album "Reunion" will be released in Fall 2019. With only 23 years, Fejká has already set an interesting start and is definitely an artist worth to watch out for.

'Sloh' is il:lo’s fourth EP. Keeping in tune with their previous EP, their sound is a meeting of acoustic and synthetic instruments. Thereby mallets and brass converse with moogs and Junos. In 'Sloh', the production is designed as more electronic but still organic.

The symbiosis between heavy basses notes and atmospheric pads reminds the one between the body and the soul. The building heading into the sky of the cover illustrates this idea. In songs such as 'Niyati' the deep bass fixes the feet to the ground while the heady melody rises the soul.

'Sloh' is a new road on which il:lo wants to invite the listener. A journey to feel new emotions. Some parts of this road are peaceful ('Alma') while others have to be climbed to reach the top and discover new places ('a.me', 'Sloh') and let go. At the end of the journey the listener is invited to walk alongside the Austrian river of 'Ybbs', and to conclude the trip with a last (progressive) ascent ('Cami').

I am DJ for Brazilian Zouk and Kizomba/UrbanKiz dances, previously also known as DJ Skon.

In 2017, I attended my first Kizomba class and got immediately hooked on social dancing. My Zouk journey started three years later, around the pandemic times, and it was also during this period that I began organizing my own Zouk and Kizomba parties outdoors. Little did I know at the time, this initiative would start my DJ journey. I progressed from using simple playlists to automix, then to my first controller, and later to my second controller, until today, when I am fully equipped with both hardware and software.

The core of my sets lies in balancing genres and energies. With one eye on the dance floor and the other in my music library, I often improvise my sets to provide the best experience possible for the given time and crowd. While I have my favourite songs and styles to play, I am not afraid to try something different and experiment ;)
