"After we have been rolling out three singles and two remixes, it’s time to present to you the full album by the Belgium duo Pelace, titled ‘Echoes’. The digital version drops October 7 and to make it even better, the album will appear on vinyl too at end the of 2022, which will be the first ever vinyl release on Infinite Depth. 

The album represents the energetic sound of Pelace (Jordy Cosemans & Janick Warnier), hailing from Hasselt. Besides being Pelace they are very good friends in life, which is playing big part in their tracks. They dug deep into their own experiences and emotions that have been influencing their lives and this resulted in the album. The careful composed collection of tracks forms a 10-track story of uncompromising breaks, deep and compelling melodies and beautiful repetitive vocals.  

The album starts off with ‘Trapped Forever’. An ambient intro to immediately show their characteristic raw and uplifting synthwork. When it stops it makes sure you want to carry on listening. After the intro, ‘Deep Sea Dreaming’ follows, through which they bring forward their strong breakbeats and firm basslines. Where ‘Deep Sea Dreaming’ is pretty low-key, the next one titled ‘Patterns’ is one of the more compelling tracks on the album. Long-stretched bass lines are forming a solid base, on top of which uplifting arps and pads are making this track very lively. 

The fourth track ‘Kali’ goes a bit deeper. The track was written and produced when there was the news that clubs were allowed to open in Belgium again. A hard 4x4 kick, raw percussion elements and a driven bass are the key elements. After this it goes through to ‘Forever Together’. This one is about always being Pelace together. It’s a break track with a suppressed, but also very special energy.

'Break Ups' represents the more calm and dreamy side of the album. The regular beat gets broken up by a breakbeat, after which it continues in its lo-fi focused four-the-floor pattern. Throughout the track harmonious pads are melting together with high pitched synths, giving you a hopeful and warm feeling. The main song ‘Echoes From The Past’ defines the signature sound of Pelace, a blend of all kinds of electronica. Broken beats, intertwining synths, an appealing repetitive vocal and a reese bass, combined to evoke intense moments on the dancefloor.

The eighth track is called ‘Floating’ and refers to old-school no-nonsense electronica. A pulsing and stabby synth, a powerful jungle kick and the up-tempo rhythm are providing a powerful energy. ‘Pushing You Away’ brings us back to the duo’s characteristic drum parts and vocal use, but with a deeper lower part and a somewhat trancey and ravey higher part. Then the cooling-down begins in the form of the outro ‘I Won’t Hesitate’. A very hopeful end to this story told by Pelace."

It’s been two decades since Bradford-born sound designer & Configurations of Self label head,
Alexander Church, first found resonance with his latest collaborator & early supporter from Belfast.
Joining him for Configurations 18 is seasoned producer Chris Cargo as well as label mainstay, juSt b, and
frequent guest remixer, Vincenzo.

With a production career commencing in the late 90s, Cargo has nearly 200 releases on labels such as
The Soundgarden, JOOF, & Mango Alley, and most recently on his own imprint, If You Wait, with his 2nd
full length album ‘Resistance’.

Kicking off the new 4-tracker is a sultry yet dusky breaks cut from Church & Cargo titled ‘Avoidant’,
themed around the enduring pattern of escapism from difficult thoughts, feelings, and situations. Its
glistening, brooding pad fused with warm dubby bass and a poignant stabbing broken rhythm guides
you mysteriously into an extended introspective break. Enveloped by somber atmospherics and a soft
acid-tinged cosmic synth line, its a shadowy narrative one can easily find themselves lost in.

Next up we see recent Bedrock & Balance artist, juSt b, offering up a seductive vocal on ‘Impulsivity’, a
raw percussive groover which gets straight to the point - creating a perfect synergy with the underlying
psychological theme of swift, unbridled behaviour patterns. The flirtatious vox is complimented by an
equally playful chord progression, catchy knocking drums, and trademark warping synth, laying the
ground for what is one of Church’s more vibrant & sexy of dance-driven productions.

Just as he did with Configurations 16’s ‘Games People Play’, Berlin-based Vincenzo takes Church’s
composition & juSt b’s sensual vocal chops and reworks ‘Impulsivity’ into a blissful daytime festival
sparkler, richly laden with his classic soulful piano, adding a layer of tremendous depth to another superb
remix.

The final track, ‘Forbidden Substance’, is the second from Cargo & Church, delighting the deep melodic
house lovers with a delicately carnal, spaced-out and slightly more visceral vibe. Subtle vox & warm
organic percussion are bathed in lush synth sweeps, making it a perfect dreamy sun-riser or sun-setter.
Configurations 18 brings together all the elements of a deliciously well-rounded EP, generous in
dimension with high appeal for even the most discerning of ears and dance floors.

Multitudes is the new various artists compilation series by Berlin label Casomat, designed to showcase the multitude of emerging talent creating quality deeper/leftfield melodic house & techno at the moment. The series will have a strong emphasis on sounds that stray away from the norms and the trends, creating a platform for artists to experiment and listeners to be introduced to new ideas & concepts.

The first of the 4 tracks making up Volume 1 is a collaboration between Italian artists Philip Auster and Bumppo. No strangers to one another, the duo are bound by a long friendship and have been creating & releasing music together since 2017. 'Desiderio' is an intelligently designed club track, with carefully crafted bleeps & glitches interspersing the otherwise sparse but unrelenting beat.

Next up are Maicol MP & Steedo. Also Italian born and based, but citing Berlin and the other large European party destinations as a significant influence on their sound. Despite being a trained pianist and a sound technician, their passion lies with the creation of electronic music and that's exactly what they've been doing for the past several years. 'Lanzarote' is slightly more melodic but still clearly built for the dancefloor, built around a driving bassline and several layers of infectious rhythmic plucks.

The third artist featuring on CASOMAT005 is French producer Hansgod, an experienced musician with a healthy catalogue of releases dating all the way back to 2013 on labels such as Colorize, Manual and Traum, as well as his own Gnosticuts imprint. 'Trk Ktrl' is a deep and hypnotic number, with choir-like pads paving the way for a huge and slightly disorienting lead synth which builds and builds, completely enveloping the listener at its crux.

Rounding out the EP is newcomer Ihpek from Buenos Aires. His debut release came out just a couple of months ago on Glowal's esteemed label Sementa, marking his arrival with a bang and showing a real statement of intent for the future. 'Mar del Plata' is centered around a beautiful pad which ebbs and flows as the track progresses, delicately sitting on top of the body of complex arps and ever-changing harmonies.

A brand new beginning!

Incláme is a symbiosis between two extraordinary personalities. They challenge themselves to create something more than just interweaving rhythms and melodies. They have designed a world filled with deep sounds and bright accents, where the calm is abruptly broken by euphoria. Their music is a journey full of unexpected twists and rapid takeoffs. This is the first release from the duo that has already set the bar immensely high.

The accompanying artwork is part of an original installation done by multi-disciplinary artist Georg Jagunov. In his own words, he asks us to "Join us for a journey into the ancient worlds of green and hidden geochemical realms".

Moss is the most ancient terrestrial plant and can be found growing on every continent. Small and easily overseen, it has played an essential role in forming the world as we know it. According to a recent scientific theory, moss-like plants triggered the first ice age during the Ordovician era some 470 million years ago by causing a rapid drop in carbon levels. Lucky for mosses they can survive frozen for centuries, and revive when thawed."

Safe to say we have put extra work and effort into this new beginning.
