About this EP : 
¨Botanique¨ is the name of the last release by Mondocane, a music alchemist who’s been shaking the Italian scene for the past twenty years. Always attracted by world music mixed with urban beats, he started releasing his original productions with a unique psychedelic/tribal twist mixed with slow techno, acid and acoustic sampling techniques.
¨Botanique¨ is a concept album dedicated to the wonderful world of plants, which are the first ever travelers on planet Earth. Every species with its own surviving strategy and its peculiarities can teach us so much like: how to survive our own destruction, how to cooperate with other humans and how to relate with the environment that surrounds us.  We would like to dedicate this album to the work of Italian botanist Stefano Mancuso and give it as a gift to all the people who enjoy these deep vibes, enjoy!

Late last year, Uone and Western conjured up a ten-track selection of psychedelic delights through Beat & Path. Channelling Ennio Morricone, Jim Morrison and The Dark Side of the Moon, The Lone Wrangler went about as far west as a house album can go without disappearing into the Pacific Ocean. 

Half a year later, its creators have run that release past eleven of the scene’s more discerning voices. These producers aren’t necessarily the biggest trend-chasers or hype-mongers (although there are certainly some big names in the list), but they’re a collection of unique producers with a sizeable dose of artistic integrity between them. The result is a cohesive set of kaleidoscopic house gems that’ll be an asset at any half-decent daytime festival. 

Introducing the album is Marco Tegui’s swaggering take on ‘Culture of Knights’. Where the original was a Pink Floyd homage in house form, the Peruvian maverick takes things in a cheeky and altogether bouncier direction; this is the sound of a mustang lolloping into the sunset.

Feel free to enjoy the ride. Close your eyes and allow the sun to warm up your skin. Your soul is enraptured to a different scene. The beat invades your body and the loops captivate your look. You're not here anymore – you're in a world crafted by the mind and creativity of two ingenious producers. Meet the new kids on the block: for the first time, Antos and Magupi are joining forces and releasing dreams in the shape of music. But, then again, they're not actually kids.

In 2020, acclaimed producer and Portuguese legend DJ Vibe created a new name to present a new vision. As Antos – a fresh alias that departs from his real name, António, joined by the prefix Anthos, derived from the Ancient Greek, meaning "flower" – he explores different aspects of his imagination, allowing himself to more psychedelic moves, to even more mesmerizing rhythms. It was also as Antos that he signed a remix for "O Ritual", a track by Magupi, Márcio Pinto's adventure that portrays his fascination with exotic and tribal rhythms. Percussion has been guiding Pinto's musical path, so it comes without surprise that the African pace or the Eastern moods also compass his alter ego. Two exquisite musicians with two different experiences realized they had something in common: a fascination for a sound equivalent to a dreamlike travel, exotic, warm, colorful. They got together in studio, shared thoughts and music – and, on the way, created something remarkable.

Where "Ayat" is chilled, with a gentle beat and grand lingering voices, almost as a universal hymn, "Sahara" shows a mysterious atmosphere, propelled by sitar sounds, sinuous and oscillating, always evolving has if music could embrace you – in fact, everything about this collaboration is embracing. The two experienced men embraced their original visions and allowed them to go even further. The two experienced producers embraced their will to look at diverse landscapes. They may be experienced but, together, they present a curiosity that can only show up when you're truly in love with what you're doing. "Ayat" and "Sahara" may be the first signs of this new tour de force but falling in love with their love is inevitable. And there's already proof of this: with the remix signed by Tó Ricciardi, "Sahara" becomes rounder and hypnotizing; Ohxala leave their fingerprint on a new approach to "Ayat", where the beat gets even deeper and the chase more profound.

Close your eyes. Open your soul. Release your body's strains. Feel the warmth. Look at the colors. Undulate your imagination. Here, there are no limits or borders. Antos & Magupi may have created it but now this might become your new religion. Feel free to pray.
