The idea of creating this release appeared to us a long time ago. We wanted to make a release of remixes dedicated to a track written by a Belarusian artist and began to mull over who it could be. Since we have been friends with the guys from ethnic electronic music group ’’Shuma’’ for a long time and we were fans of their work, they were the first ones in our list of artists. We made them an offer and the guys agreed immediately.

We were offered to choose one of the tracks from the album "Shuma - Me, Mother", which was released in 2019, to create remixes. The track Hatka was chosen, which means "a house" in Belarusian language. We wanted the remixes for the release to be written by Belarusian producers, as well as producers from other parts of the world, in a 50-50 ratio. But to our surprise, there were more compatriots willing to take part in writing remixes than we expected, so 7 out of 9 tracks were written by Belarusians. The foreign guests were represented as a bright participant of the ‘’Pornceptual” project - Deepneue and one of the executives of the ‘’Sticky Ground’’ label - küetzal.

The release was supposed to come out earlier, but circumstances appeared so that it is coming out right now, at not the easiest time for our planet. With this release, we want to speak out in support of peace and against what is happening right now in the center of Europe, on the territory of Ukraine. All the money from the sale of the album will go to help the victims.

Thanks to all the producers and people who took part in the creation of the release. You are the best!

Long time House music champion Freestyle Man is the alter ego used by Berlin's hero Sasse.

Freestyle Man is known for his House roots and keeping his sound like the good old days… the sound that most house music tracks talk about to this day.

Opening track is 'Hooper Street Groove,' which is a deep house groover with subtle melodies and a tight bassline. Perfect to set the mood of the night.

Next is 'Chordal Motion,' which is a stripped-back and spaced-out voyage. As the track develops, dubbed-out rhythmic patterns and synth pads add depth and make this a perfect journey for your mind and your feet.

Closing the package is the title track, which has funky rhythm and crisp drums, a perfect dancefloor-rolling groover that will for sure stay in your sets for a while.

A couple months ago I downloaded Ableton and started producing music. Because I wanted to get some experience with making a remix, I was very happy when I bumped into the stems of the Thaw EP by @Kuby-Clay on SoundCloud. I started fooling around with the different layers and the speed of ‘Flowerfall’, and what came out is a sunny downtempo track with a driving bass which I really like.
