That is when magical synchronicities start to happen in your life, because the universe begins to flow through you. It will put you exactly where you need to be, and you will meet the people you are supposed to. The universe always flows in the path of least resistance, you can see evidence of this in nature, animals, outer space, and everything. I hope this album can inspire you to follow your dreams. The hardest part about following your dreams is staying optimistic through the failures. If your intentions are pure though all you need to do is remember why you are doing this. This release means so much to me, I hope you can see why

The creation of this project all started when I learned about a woman named Wendy Carlos. She was one of two engineers who created the Moog Synthesizer. In 1970 she appeared on BBC to do a demonstration on how to use the synth and went on to perform “Switched-On Bach”, an absolutely mind blowing rendition; except, she didn’t look like herself, because she was dressed up as a man (wig, stick on side burns, etc.). Wendy Carlos is a transgender woman and has been since the 60’s. During the time of her debut album, she chose to disguise herself as a man out of fear for being judged by her pears and the public.

After learning about her life more, I was feeling a lot of emotions. Sadness, anger, confusion, yet also a sense of pride for this community. Wendy Carlos is a fucking badass for not only creating something that changed the projection of music, but also for being such a beautiful voice for the LGBTQ+ Community in a time where there was very few, especially in STEM.

I needed to put them somewhere so I made this fun weird little halftime/trap tune. :)

Trauma

The first track from my forthcoming EP "Calls from the Wood". Based on "Italian Rant" from Playford's Dancing Master (1651) , this is a renaissance tune re-imagined as a midnight forest dance with flute, tambourine, gittern (a small antique lute) and deep bass.
