Thrilljoy is a bare-boned beast with nothing to hide. This fierce Austin based threesome is a scrappy combination of blues grit and garage rock. The group formed when Elizabeth Taliaferro (vocals), Mike Mudd (guitar) and Brad Van Sickle (drums) had a chance run in at their favorite south Austin haunt, Red Shed Tavern. It didn't take long before they were thrashing out audio visions over beer and tequila. They set out on a mission to turn the Austin music scene on its face with their high energy syncopated caress. Mudd’s boisterous and melodically-rippling guitar and Van Sickle’s raucously, rhythmic war beats, ice the sticky-sweet sounds of Austin’s best kept secret, Elizabeth Taliaferro and her knee-jerking vocals.
