this was kind of inspired by Austin Wintory's work on the Banner Saga trilogy, where the tavern/camp songs in the three games use these sort of droning sounds, accordions and stringed instruments, producing an absolutely gorgeous sound (see here for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7rH8USIhKw)

anyway. if there's any well-paying indie developer out there that happens to be working on a viking-themed story-focused game and is looking for a composer... shoot me a dm... just sayin.... ;)))
