


"Xinguila" is one of the high-power tracks from the forthcoming Daniel Haaksman album "African Fabrics" (released Feb 26th). "Xinguila" features the Portuguese trio Throes + The Shine from the city of Porto, who are merging the African culture of the Angolan people with the more urbanized electronic and rock sound resulting in a highly spirited tropical cocktail - they call the hybrid "Rockuduro".

Throes + The Shine are Luanda via Porto, they are dance and joy. When they hit the stage the party’s limit is the stratosphere. 

Having joined forces in 2011 in a chance encounter that happened in a downtown club in Porto, they started mixing up the unexpected. Throes were rock and roll, The Shine were pure kuduro. Together they turn these two styles upside down. Merging the african culture of the Angolan people with the more urbanized electronic and rock scene, they wound up with a new baby. Rockuduro was born and with it came a high energy cocktail of rocking tropical kuduro beats that will make your hips move on their own, just like some voodoo curse.

After a first record connecting said genres, aptly titled Rockuduro, and a path through Europe, comes Mambos de Outros Tipos. A second record filled to the brim with warm rhythms and a tropical breeze that will pull your hair back, without ever forgetting it’s Angolan heritage and pride.
