Coming from our inception back in 2021 in our home of Leeds we set about creating a community in which we could share, promote, and appreciate the amazing talent and culture that is in the city. A year down the line we have been fortunate to reach an opportunity where we can start promoting this music even further... @cicelygrace is here this week to take you on a journey of Breaks & Hardcore. The combination of seamless blends along with a stunning track selection is perfection. 💚
Cicely who is based in London, is influenced by dark industrial and rave heavy sounds. 

She picked was as ‘one to watch 2022’ by Foundation fm, and have since gone on to be featured on stations & clubs such as, Rinse fm, Subtle Radio and at Fabric to name a few - HUGE 🔥

Cicely also started NRG CRU this year, which is a collective of DJ’s who play everything under the ‘rave’ umbrella. 

Being both northern and female, it’s important to Cicely to always have artists from all over the country and an even mix of male and female / NB djs on their lineups.

I’ve been on 1020 for over 2 years, starting as a volunteer studio hand just before covid. I can safely say I wouldn’t have the confidence and passion I do now without this station, it gave me somewhere I could meet people as nerdy as me, and it gave me my first real opportunities as a dj. Don’t want to get too sentimental, but yeah without 1020 fuck knows where I’d be now.
