Downplay is proud to welcome back Birmingham producer BWK Project to the label for his brand new release “Round U”.

‘Round U’ is a perfect summertime anthem, immediately setting the vibe with it’s driving 4x4 groove and light melodic touches. Once the bass kicks in, it’s game over - and absolutely guaranteed to get any crowd jumping.

Second track ‘Secrets’ hits it’s stride straight away with a tough 2-step rhythm, before unfolding into a proper bubbler complete with diva vocal stabs and rolling bass.

Finally, label-mate Angus Green delivers another master-class in remix production, taking the title track and tweaking the formula just enough to bring something fresh to the table - further proving him as the one to watch in UKG.

@dai-su is providing the first guest mix of my Parked Up mix series and it’s an absolute pleasure to have her start this off 🚔  This mix takes you in to a whole other realm from the first track. It is a culmination of Bass, Dubstep & Garage and the blends are spotless. A stunning mix to say the least 🤍  

DaiSu has an recent EP out with Gather Records and it's really sexy and cool 🧨 She is also a member of Not Bad For A Girl and is now based in London.

@cicelygrace is here this week to take you on a journey of Breaks & Hardcore. The combination of seamless blends along with a stunning track selection is perfection. 💚
Cicely who is based in London, is influenced by dark industrial and rave heavy sounds. 

She picked was as ‘one to watch 2022’ by Foundation fm, and have since gone on to be featured on stations & clubs such as, Rinse fm, Subtle Radio and at Fabric to name a few - HUGE 🔥

Cicely also started NRG CRU this year, which is a collective of DJ’s who play everything under the ‘rave’ umbrella. 

Being both northern and female, it’s important to Cicely to always have artists from all over the country and an even mix of male and female / NB djs on their lineups.

His main influencers at the moment is the whole Manchester DnB scene. He has only been here 2 years and is making a significant stamp on the DnB scene. Definitely give him & his collective a follow. 

This month you can catch him at Old Abbey Tap House on the 17th for Clarkey & Conni's Birthday Bash (Free Rave), then on the 18th his collective BND are supporting Upgrade, Latte & Toxinate at Kable Club for Dubbed Events.
