Just heard the very sad news of Danielle Moore’s passing. An incredible singer, musician and human, she used her life energy to spread love and joy and hope thru the world and today with her passing, the world has lost a bright light. May her memory be a blessing and may the ripples that she created with her life continue to spread beyond the edges of her time here and continue spreading love, joy and hope throughout the world. In that vein, I will be donating $1000 in Danielle’s name to the MAPS organization — an organization that is dedicated to enabling the healing power of psychedelics to be experienced by more than the few of us who have found it helpful while using it in the mostly grey legal area in which it currently exists. Many years ago, Holmar and I did this remix of Crazy P using the voice of Terrence McKenna, joined with that of Danielle’s in order to help spread this message. In my experience, psychedelics have helped heal the traumas of my past and help me become a better human and understand the truth that none of us are strangers but all truly parts of one larger whole. I believe that with the spreading of this essential truth, war will become obsolete, the inequities of a world where there are enough resources for all but just so poorly distributed (where some have so much while many have too little) would end and we could all truly live in the utopia that we all deserve — in peace and harmony with all. The remix we did (in classic Thugfucker fashion of those years) was finished too late to be included on the release but it was something near and dear to us so we finished it with love even well past the deadline. And in an incredible moment of synchronicity, soon after it was finished we were playing it at our beloved Katerholzig in Berlin and someone on the dance floor heard it and connected us with his friend, Finn McKenna, son of Terence McKenna and we discussed his father’s work and how we might possibly put this out in other ways. Finn is a lovely human as well as a talented illustrator and he did this incredible illustration of his dad in the style of classic LSD blotter paper. We discussed finding a way to include the blotter paper encased in the vinyl record but the technology was not available at that time. A lovely idea though and maybe one day it will be possible… 

But today I am posting the remix we did years ago for free online, downloadable and available for all. It seemed the right time to do it.

In the interest of transparency, I don’t hold the rights for any of this stuff but it felt right to put it out for free and ask that, if you enjoy it and have the means, that you might also consider donating some money in Danielle’s name to MAPS or another charity of your choice so that this moment of sadness and loss can be transformed into a moment of hope and spread more of the love and light that Danielle’s life spread during her time her on earth.

May she rest in peace and may the world soon transform into the beautiful joy filled utopia that every single one of us deserves.
