Brought together by an equal influence of southern rap tapes and hardcore punk records of the early 90s, FWDK Volume II picks up where the critically acclaimed Volume I left off. Slow, lo-fi, smoked out beats fused with surreal dialog and raw haunting audio hooks flow between each other effortlessly throughout this 22 track project. With a tracklist almost double that of its previous volume this body of work is one of Inkke’s biggest to date and lands somewhere between a beat tape and an album and is described simply by the artist as “a homeage to memphis rap”.

Michigan based electronic music label, Kaiseki Digital, brings onboard London producer Thugwidow for their 71st release. Known for his airy breakbeat productions ranging from the low to the high end of the bpm spectrum, Thugwidow really knows how to set the atmosphere with his tracks. Foment is one of them, an ambient drum and bass track with cleverly laid out drum breaks, classic dub wobble bass, and melodics that jump in and out of the track teasing you and keeping you engaged as the track progresses. A perfect track to listen to when your alone and want to reflect. Goddess will be available on Bandcamp February 8th.

The A-side is the title track of the record with a mysterious atmosphere, bells, voices and stretched amen-break in the best traditions of 93-94 jungle style.

The B-side contains two tunes with summer vibes, one is a 4/4 jungle tek tune with sweet vocals and a nod to early rave music, the other one has killer breakbeats, funky moods and references to gangsta rap.

PREMIERE: RougeHotel - UnevenStructure [SC011]

In April 2019 we took a trip to Tokyo to capture the sounds of the transport, markets, instruments, machines and public places. We did the same back in London and created a sample bank for each city. We reached out to underground Tokyo producers who we consider to be some of the best up-and-coming producers in the city. 

Each producer used sample sounds from the opposite city from our recordings. The result is a collaboration between two underground scenes through music creation and samples from opposite sides of the world. A massive thank you to everyone involved.
