Thierry Viti was born in Soresina on the 25th of November 1988. Since he was a little child, he gets asleep listening to the song “Zingarella” by Giuseppe Verdi. When he was 7, he received as a gift from the uncle his first guitar and since the beginning he tried to reproduce songs by Fabrizio De André, Battisti and Mina and soon he realized he loved expressing himself throughout music. Once, while rummaging through his father’s room, he found a Pink Floyd forty-five record and he immediately fell in love with this experimental music, which had nothing to do with pop music. From that moment on, he became increasingly curious: he listened to all the forty-five records and also discovered Jazz.

The same uncle who gave him a guitar as a present, watching the boy becoming increasingly interested in music, decided to buy him a professional keyboard for his 10th birthday. The following year he gave him a CD by Kraftwerk and this marked a turning point for the young boy, who became keen on electronic music, listening to all its different kinds.

During the following years Thierry has been collecting the various tools in order to be able to begin to create his own music and his first pieces. That’s the start of his carrier as a record producer.

March is a big month for me. In addition to some big local SF gigs I have (including opening for Mr.C @ tutu tuesday), the highlight of this month is Ultra Week in Miami. I have a couple gigs lined up including an opening spot for Lee Burridge + Craig Richards on a tikki boat.  I'll be distributing this mix as a promo mix during my travels, and I think did a good job of capturing my peak hour sound: deep, driving, melodic, and at times, pretty (@ 35 min, for instance).

After shaking the electronic musical scene at his home turf, Venezuela, during the past few years, Andrés Astorga, better known as Trujillo, dedicated himself to consolidate several musical projects as part of an rising and prolific facet as Musician/DJ/Producer.

As a DJ, Trujillo has held residences at Caracas top clubs, doing the infamous party called Voyage (http://www.facebook.com/WeAreVoyage) together with his venezuelan partner David Rondón, a monthly residence since almost 5 years now who has held internationally acclaimed artists like Hercules & Love Affair, Rory Phillips and Soul Clap, to name a few. He also has been a guest around the globe in venues in New York, Miami, Berlin, Paris, London, Dubai, Ibiza and St. Barth.

His sound has led him to collaborate with renowned European labels as Apersonal and Sonar Kollektiv, which feature his own material as well as original and remix work from Mark E, Social Disco Club, Toby Tobias, Eddie C, Daniel Avery, Ron Basejam, Cosmic Kids amongst others. Trujillo is currently working along with his good friend Claas Brieler from Jazzanova on a cultural project about a venezuelan musician from the 70s called Daniel Grau, where they will release this summer on Sonar Kollektiv a 2xCD/LP compilation of his complete work amongst a serie of 12" Reworks from top international House & Disco producers of the actual scene.

Waiting for upcoming releases on top Slomo, House & Disco labels of Europe and the US, Trujillo seems to be in the most prolific moment of his career; through his eyes one can see his iris spinning like a disco ball.
