Yes, we're relying on the track name for a weak analogy again - don't say you're surprised.

He's heading off to the icy-fuelled Secret Solstice festival and this little ripper feels like it would go down rather well in an ice cave as it slips and slides between your ears. As the bells ring out amid the icy surroundings you can feel comforted by the warmth that this aural experience didn't cost you a penny.

HUMANS - Stay Over Mix

Beirut based producer and Red Bull Music Academy alumni @ETYENmusic prepares to be launched into the spotlight with his huge four-track debut EP. Released on 3rd of August via Finland’s trend label, Youth Control, ’Elephantasm’ is a sublime piece of work with sounds woven together from a plethora of sources from electronica to Kompaktesque techno, creating a unique universe but also rooted in his local scene. 

 ‘Elephantasm’ opens up with the title track ’Elephantasm’ displaying ETYEN’s capability of creating an almost magical sonic ambience that isn’t short of detail, whilst also delivering an infectious groove and bassline that seems suited for the worlds biggest dance floors. 

Next up is a lovely indie pop / electronica track ‘Unite Our Bodies’ featuring the vocal talents of Matilda Abraham. The enticing groove and Matilda’s almost whispered lyrics create a fascinating contrast while the progressive production continues to add fresh elements all the way to the last note.

The EP moves forward in a more club oriented direction with ’Cartagena’ which is another progressive tune that will surely find its way into a wide range of DJ’s record bags and finally closing the EP is ’Starship’, a perfect ending, it is an engaging mix of the previous tracks. ’Starhip’s insistent and very intense atmosphere with eerie vocal adlibs and space age synths might be more suited for very late am rather than peak hour but is an eloquent conclusion to this magnificent work from ETYEN.
