Tropicalbacanal (Deluxxxe Version) features 3 bonus tracks including a brand new English version of their hit single “Kilo," their never before released song “Ayo” and a Major Lazer remix of “Brazilian Boys!"

Everything they see is upside down. How else do you explain Bonde do Rolê? They turn Brazilian folk songs into dance tracks, and they make rockabilly replays into haunting taunts. In 2007, when their debut album With Lasers was released and Diplo and Pitchfork and the Fader and everyone else talked about how wild and weird and wonderful they were, it seemed like a stunt. In 2012, their second album Tropicalbacanal dropped. Wilder, weirder, and even more wonderful. Not many people know what Bonde are singing about, but everyone keeps singing along; they're the third world Black Eyed Peas. Tropicalbacanal - produced by Diplo and Filip Nikolic of Poolside and featuring guest turns from Caetano Veloso, Kool A.D., Ce'Cile, Rizzle Kicks, and the Death Set - ushers in the fresh wave of avalanche tropical (the bossa nova of modern Brazil) and is all over the place; they wouldn't have it any other way.

Horixon are back on Eskimo with ‘Hold It Like I Own It’, a seductive vocal track complete with remixes from This Soft Machine and Hermigervill. ‘Hold It Like I Own It’ is an indelible and radiant record featuring the flawless vocals of Maya and co-written with Karin Park. The second original track, ‘Burnt Orange’ is a slick piano driven club track, shadowy with melancholic synths. This Soft Machine and Hermigervill are on remix duty and an extended mix completes the package. This Soft Machine is infamous for his work with Nicolas Jaar’s Other People while Hermigervill is one of the backbones of the Icelandic music scene, providing a rework reminiscent of the early days of Ewan Pearson.

Belgium’s music scene has few cornerstones. R&S set a first in the 80s, Soulwax came in the 90s and Eskimo emerged in the early 00s, its evolution since more colourful than all of them combined. Taking music into emotion, introducing new names and spotlighting the cream of the current crop, ‘The Orange Collection’ is bright, genial and buoyant.

Jerry Bouthier’s label Continental records welcomes Mexico’s Bluehost to its continuously expanding international roster. Building a body of releases where love for songs with character and dancefloor principles cohabit on dj-friendly EPs crafted by authentic artists, the colorful, pop-tinged digital imprint springs back into action with ‘We Need You’ by Bluehost, a trio hailing from Mexico City which aims at combining indie moods and club vibes in one personal inspired Latin spell.

When DJ Alex González was introduced to Azzim Susano who was singing in a new-wave band at the time, the two 24 year olds into synth-pop and European sounds hit it off immediately and decided to form Bluehost. Cruz Antonio on drums soon completed the line-up. The band's name stems from its wish to combine the melancholy of Blue Monday, the third Monday of January believed to be the most depressing day of the year (almost certainly also a nod at New Order's electrodisco classic), to their love of hosting parties and making people dance.

With a funky rhythm guitar that would make Nile proud, quirky synths a-gogo, electro beats to almost breakdance to and a male vocal that’s as infectious as heartfelt to top the lot, ‘We Need You’ strikes a chord. These boys sure cultivate a sentiment of their own, injecting warm, impassioned, Hispanic touch and cool dance moves to their beloved indie-pop.

In the remix seat Pallace, the Frenchie who’s co-produced Zimmer's lately, opts for a driving house makeover, stripping down vocals and unleashing some proper feelgood Hammond chords and one of the catchiest SH101 basslines you’ll hear this summer. Next Sweden's Copycat, the analog lord renowned for revamping the 80s with style and skilled production techniques, turns out a piano-led balearic anthem that’ll have you throw your hands in the air before you know it. To conclude the EP, Bluehost provide their own dub remix which takes ‘We Need You’ one step closer to Manchester’s Haçienda and its italo-house heaven.

"We were driving through the deserts of California when we hatched the plan to release a boxed set of the singles from Skying, unaware that it would balloon into the monster that it did. We started off small, just one version per single. However, through chance encounters and wanting to involve more people whose music excited us, the box soon grew into an impressive collection of sonic tapestries and hypnotic grooves and it became apparent that this was no longer about the singles. It was now about this new music which had used the different elements of Skying as a springboard to other ideas. We encouraged everyone involved to be as obtuse as possible, to get as far away from the original source material as they could. The results are stunning, and I think it's just a shame we couldn't have done more."
