"Playing the Sunday morning closing set at Robot Heart at my first Burning Man was one of the most touching and rewarding moments of my musical adventure so far. I have always made music with the desert in mind, and this felt somehow like coming home, sharing it in the perfect environment.

Our first summer sounds coming direct from Spain. Welcome back David Granha on Einmusika with his “Inertia“ EP. An unique build up with bleeping elements and a sunshine melody in the back, full and bride. The vocals bringing an esoteric vibe and organic grooves making you feel the new vibes of the season. Next we are drifting into “Youniverse“ with it’s straight pads and piano. No melancholy mood anymore, only pumping beats and simmering energy in it. “Throwback“ is clear and cold in the beginning and it’s kind of a trade mark of David Granha’s dancefloor work. Enjoy breaky house beats and experimental sounds, united for the club.

Swedish Bambook team with Spaniard Javier Orduña for a release totally on the next level for both producers. Genre-agnostic, Burudunga is more of a live-set than a simple track. Deep funky bass, ghostly vocal cuts, Burning Man sounding ethnic accordion hooks, it all weaves right into the hypnotic piano stabs as the sound keeps evolving and mutating for the whole 7 minutes of the track.  Burundanga is out on friday on Culprit LA together with title track Paloma and remixes by Eduardo de la Calle and Quina.

Culprit brings its 2016 to a close with the melodically refined release by Bambook & Javier Orduña. “Paloma” is a deeply felt tribute to Javier’s late wife. Ethereal, wistful and expressive the EP’s two original songs are authentic to their unique emotional content, while showcasing the collaborators’ shared artistic sensibility. 

Intertwining minor key melodies, ghostly female vocals, memorable bassline hooks and fluid percussion unite the gentle “Paloma” and the more propulsive “Burundanga.” As Quina, Eiad of Bambook and Emilio Areas, a Miami-based artist, rework the title track into a moody deep techno cut, with a cascading organ riff and a darker bassline pad that adds to a sense of foreboding. 

Culprit also continue their recent Spanish motif with the remix by Eduardo De La Calle – one of the most interesting producers to emerge from Spain in the last few years. De La Calle stays true to “Paloma’s” emotionally charged feel, while adding his inimitable analogue minimalistic techno touch.
