`Illumination´ gets a deep groove, which very slowly flows into the main theme, only to rise into a summery extravaganza after almost 6 minutes. The piece is a homage to the good old International Pony days, an early band that consisted of DJ Koze, Erobique and Cosmic DJ. Dave borrowed some samples of a Pépé Bradock remix which makes a fantastic melange.

Deep, brooding, and capable of doing some real dancefloor damage, “I Wanna Know” blends nostalgic progressive house elements with a contemporary bass-driven approach, complete with compelling vocals from Eli & Fur. 

B-side “Revolutions” is again built around a beefy bass groove, accompanied by mystical melodies and stripped back percussion, allowing the low-end progression to build through to the finale.

Veteran Ukrainian artist meHiLove (a.k.a. Yuriy Mikhailov) returns to Arrival with his new "Sunrise" EP, including two delicate progressive cuts. The title track starts out with a comforting atmosphere and enjoyable percussion elements. Subtle string melodies soar in the background, while a delightful arpeggio line provides additional texture. An intriguing piano melody appears in the break, and a refreshing guitar riff spices up the mix later. "Sunset" quickly establishes a unique soundscape with haunting pad layers and female vocal stems. The break once again showcases a beautiful piano line, seamlessly integrated into the combination of the soothing percussion and background arpeggio notes.

Spring 2016 saw the release of Stimming’s fourth full length album “Alpe Lusia”, which was named after a remote little alpine hut in northern Italy, in which he had secluded himself to work on his LP for a full month, all by himself. From the title track of his LP emanates his following release on Diynamic, the Alpe Lusia Remixes, and the remixing protagonists are none other than Robag Wruhme, long time collaborateurs Acid Pauli & NU and last but not least Solomun.

First off is Pampa mainstay Robag Wruhme, whose take on Stimming’s “Alpe Lusia” starts off as a dark and brooding tech house gem. Later, when you have made your way through its rough outer shell, peeling off the hard claps, it shows its soft core, with gentle pads caressing the arrangement.

Acid Pauli & NU deliver a deep and driving, almost haunting reinterpretation of “Alpe Lusia", with a thumping bass and ethereal vocals that are hypnotizing.

Finally, Solomun adds a remix that reminds you of the rabbit hole in Alice's Wonderland: the longer you dig, the deeper you get, and the more fantastic is what you experienece.

The original version is the only track on the album without a real groove, which is why Stimming chose precisely this track to be remixed - to see what the others would do about that. Now it is fair to say that all three remixes have succeeded at this task.

German producer Ryan Davis returns to Anjunadeep with double-cut ‘Waves / Hold On’. Over the past 10 years, Davis has carved out a niche all of his own, releasing exquisite melodic techno and electronica on revered labels Bedrock, Traum, and his own Klangwelt label. Along the way, he’s been championed by Sasha, Stephan Bodzin, Hernan Cattaneo and John Digweed, and collaborated with Max Cooper and Applescal.

Davis showcases his club-centric side in ‘Waves’ and ‘Hold On’. Stepping back from the ambient aesthetic of his last ‘Home EP’, Davis blends analogue sound design and soothing percussive rhythm in two immersive techno tracks.

Ryan Davis - Waves

When Saints Go Machine released their sophomore album, <a href="https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/infinity-pool/id627437295" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Infinity Pool</a> 

It’s an album born out of an atmosphere of chaos, showing the band -- Nikolaj Manuel Vonsild (vocals), Jonas Kenton (keyboard), Simon Muschinsky (keyboards), and Silas Moldenhawer (drums) -- operating outside of their comfort zone, an approach leading to great results for this four-piece from Copenhagen. As with debut album, Konkylie, most of the productions consist of layers built upon layers in each song, however, with Infinity Pool, they aimed to make each layer sound immediate and simple resulting in a harder, darker, slower and more synthetic feel. Regardless of approach and environment, Infinity Pool still retains that signature When Saints Go Machine longing feeling, the glue that holds the album together. &#13;

Following Infinity Pool’s first single “Love and Respect” feat. Killer Mike, the band is sharing a remix of the albums second single  “Iodine” by fellow Danish producer Hankat.&#13;

Hankat brings a deeper flavour to Iodine, laying the vocals effortlessly over a sped-up house groove creating a somewhat dreamlike club track. The bassline drives the mix under crisp hi-hats and floating pads, coupled with the airy vocals, resulting in that unmistakeably atmospheric sound the Hankat is widely known for. &#13;
