It’s time for some no nonsense drum & bass on MTA Records, courtesy of Mob Tactics with ‘The Answer’ EP. The duo seem to be a name on people’s lips more and more of late. Already renowned for their own inimitable style of techy – yet very funky, dance-floor orientated drum & bass, the duo appear to be going from strength-to-strength with each release, and ‘The Answer’ EP takes them in to a musical world which they have not yet explored.

UK drum & bass heroes Drumsound & Bassline Smith are back to their brilliant best on future classic ‘Fearless’. The Midlands based trio have spawned numerous hits in recent years, with ‘across the board’ tastemaker support from MistaJam to Annie Mac, and ‘Fearless’ is tipped to be their biggest single yet.

Built on a rock-solid beat and heavy bassline, ‘Fearless’ is an uplifting, high-energy D&B track, taken to the next level by the vocal talents of ‘one to watch’ Stealth - who recently appeared on Roger Sanchez’s new track ‘Remember Me’ (Pete Tong Essential New Tune). Also featured are LCGC (aka London Community Gospel Choir) - who provide stunning the backing vocals on ‘Fearless’. Fresh off the back of Toronto Is Broken’s official remix of Netsky’s “Snitch ft. Aloe Blacc” (over 200k streams on Spotify) and Deuce & Charger’s late summer anthem “We Are Made Of Light” (“hands-in-the-air vocals and euphoric nods aplenty” – DJ Mag), the two acts round off a huge 2019 with their long-awaited collaboration, “Pressure” (YANA004). These artists already have a strong history of working together; first with D&C featuring on Toronto’s track “Nothingness Lasts Forever” on his acclaimed 2018 Viper Recordings album “You Are (Not) Alone” and more recently with Toronto remixing “We Are Made of Light” (turning “a classic summer D&B ballad into a fall and winter stunner” – YourEDM).

Their new collaboration does not disappoint. Combining Toronto’s atmospheric sound design and instinctive talent for crafting a dancefloor-moving drop with D&C’s ear for melodic hooks and emotive vocals, the tune rides on a strutting synth-powered rhythm track. Risers and percussion flourishes push the production hard as the track builds, driving to match the lyrical intensity.

Arriving just in time for Xmas and NYE raves, “Pressure” pulls off that rare trick of smashing it on club systems, while also having the hooks to sound big on radio and streaming. Firmly establishing both artists as “ones to watch” for 2020, YANA004 drops on 13th December 2019 on all major online stores and streaming platforms.
