Queridinha de gente como Emily Dust, da Radar Radio, tocou "pra inglês ver" no programa do DJ Toddla T na BBC Radio 1 e remixou o alemão Daniel Haaksman. 
Suas produções são uma receita infalível de grave e grooves do mundo inteiro, de Itaquera a Baltimore.

A primeira compilação da Tropical Twista voltada totalmente para as fertilidades femininas na música. Aqui estão artistas de diferentes vertentes que se enredam na cena eletrônica latino-americana nas mais variadas texturas sonoras e beats por minuto. São mais de 20 mulheres envolvidas - e somente mulheres -, dentre já consagradas e novas potencialidades, reunidas por Ágatha Barbosa (Cigarra) em uma grande rede no projeto Hystereofônica.

The first Tropical Twista compilation that totally focuses on the feminine fertility in music. Here we have artists that come from different branches that ensnare the electronic latin-american scene in the most variable sonic textures and beats per minute. There are twenty-two women involved in this project - and only women - , some already established and some new potencialities among them, gathered by Ágatha Barbosa (Cigarra) in a big net on the Hystereofônica project.

‘Polaquinha Preta’ is a brand new EP by Lua Preta. With the music produced by Polish producer Mentalcut and vocals from Angolan Ms. Gia the release tells the story about Gia’s childhood in Poland of the 80s and 90s and how she was seen as a foreign both here and back in Angola.

You can find on the EP very special guests:

B4mba – Paris-based artist with roots in Senegal and Spain who raps both in French and Spanish. He’s an author of the ‘Baile Punk’ EP in which he blends Latin American music with avant-garde electronic sound.

Isilda Viegas – Ms. Gia’s mother hailing from Sao Tome e Principe. On the ‘Polaquinha Preta’ EP she’s featured on ‘Noemia’ where she sings in forro language – a creole language native to her homeland. During colonial times Portuguese banned people from using forro. Currently only around 70 000 people use it.

Rafael Aragon – French DJ, producer and musician who has become one of the key players on the European global bass scene throughout the past ten years. In his music he relates to all the continents but especially to South America and Africa where his ancestors come from.

Sin ser reconocido como una deidad o un espíritu maligno, Yuguru es un ente que convive con el pueblo y el lado místico de la naturaleza. No tiene figura, pues se revela de mil maneras. Yurugu representa para el “Doc” esa influencia de la cultura africana en Latinoamérica; pues los ritmos y danzas que se llevan a cabo en los bailes, en las festividades y en las piezas musicales son significaciones de un Yurugu. Es la conexcion entre un mundo místico llamado Africa y la realidad del pueblo llamado Latinoamérica.  Yurugu contiene cinco temas, cuyas raíces nacen de los ritmos africanos y cuya influencia se puede percibir en la salsa de Hector Lavoe o el Flow de Manole Perez. No hay que dejar a un lado toda la historia que se desborda con la Sonora Matancera o la influencia del ritmo afro en la música occidental.
