Sydney duo Mind Over Matter return with new single ‘What They Say’ – featuring the vocal talents of hip hop stalwarts Bliss N Eso.

Recorded locally at Nelson’s Bay and mixed by Craig Bauer (Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West) in Chicago the track has a truly international sound and is taken from the band’s forthcoming third album set for release later this year.

Bliss N Eso are long time touring buddies and friends of Mind Over Matter and will also star in the upcoming video.

Mind Over Matter are Willow AKA Rowan Lockyer and Smiles AKA Martin Brown. After meeting as year 7 classmates in the school yard at St Pius X College, the duo began practicing their freestyle skills together and have been putting in the hard yards ever since.

The duo have toured with some of Australia’s best hip hop talent including Bliss N Eso, 360, Pez and Drapht. Renowned for their narrative wit and smooth moves, Mind Over Matter’s dynamic live shows consistently win them new fans.

The upcoming album also features triple J airplay smash and lead single ‘Real Life’. With vocals by Melbourne singer K.I.K.I, the single peaked at #8 on the iTunes Hip Hop charts in 2013.

JaXx has also received grant funding from "Melbourne City Council” to put together and facilitate “iPad DJ Workshops” for children at “Art Play” Federation Square along with DJin underage “GreenLight-Disco Events” for Homeschooled Children in Frankston at the start of 2023. 
*DJ*MyT*jAxXx has studied an Advanced Diploma Therapeutic Arts in Counselling.. 13yrs children's services recreational leader.  Sound*N*Lights*AudioVisual producer..

Currently JaXx is close to completing 2nd year Diploma Community Services and hopes to incoperate her 13+yrs big kid holiday program coordinator 3+yrs Drug and Alcohol rehab facilities facilitating Art Therapy Healing with Therapeutic Arts and 3+ Social Media Manager for several community organisations. Community, Connection via sound and art project (Watch this space.)

JaXx volunteers her spare time at Thrift Opshop on the Mornington Peninsula curating their Social Media Page which directly supports Fusion’s Homeless Youth Services. JaXx is also a community support worker and Sober Mentor.
