Brother JJ Whitefield came by my place last weekend to record a set full of dark and ominous music, which ultimately branched out in to all types of grooves and styles from around the world. With the 8th guestmix in our collection we have @XOGN. His MY LIFE IN A MUSIC GALAXY is curated with 100% VINYL music selection from wide colletion of this fantastic veteran.
@XOGN musical culture swings somewhere between Brussels and Dakar. Dj-selector/party organizer/record dealer, he spent 10 years in Senegal. He run a music store, organized a monthly party and had radio shows there. Back in Belgium, he specialized in records sales, Djing regularly for African and Tropical parties.
He is an often seen face at legendary Kiosk Radio and one of the most relentless and hard-working DJ i ever encountered on soundcloud. So it is a great honour to have him on our own Radio Krs (krsradio.com).
Personally this mix evokes nostalgic memories of legendary Podgorica's District Club, so if you are fan of warm house which makes clubs feel like home, this is a mixtape you don't want to miss.
