Amsterdam based DJ, producer and label owner KI/KI releases her long awaited debut EP on her own slash imprint. The highly anticipated anthem 'Leave it to the vibe' is doing rounds in her DJ sets for over two years now and made a big impact on her notorious Boiler Room performance during AVA Festival back in 2021. Finally, two years later she found the right time and place for it and it's getting a well deserved release on her fast growing slash label.

On slash004 KI/KI reworks the original in three different ways. The original perfectly shows where KI/KI flourishes at the moment, it's a fast-paced high energy dancefloor anthem with a nostalgic deep trance drift using her own vocals incorporated in hypnotic loops. For the reworks on the b-side she stripped down the original into two new versions. Where 'To the vibe (rework)' highlights a subtle twinkle that illuminates the beauty of melodies, 'Leave it to the drums' could be seen as the dub version capturing an impeccable energy that represents the late night, strobo heavy warehouse energy where KI/KI finds her comfort zone.

Involve Records presents two electrifying remixes from Spaniards Regal and Andres Campo that pay tribute to the iconic classic ‘Asi Me Gusta A Mi’ by Chimo Bayo, an emblem of the legendary ‘Ruta del Bakalao’ movement in the 90’s in Spain. 

Regal's "La Ruta" remix cleverly nods to the movement's history and reimagines the track with his signature acid touch. The distinct 303 sounds add a layer of driving intensity, capturing the essence of Regal's unparalleled production prowess. On the flip side, Andres Campo, resident of Spain’s legendary nightclub Florida 135, gives his remix a mesmerising rhythm by seamlessly integrating the original’s lyrics into a pattern of alternating heavy kicks and distorted machine sounds, bridging nostalgia and innovation.
