Mr.Tentacles - Nicki & Christiane Birthday Bash 2017

Tobias Jeschke aka tibeau aka Mr.Tentacles :
I live in Germany, Freiburg, near the Black Forest.
I am in influenced by electronic music since the early 80s breakdance days. Herbie Hancocks "Rockit" and Trans-X "Living on video" kicked me more than Kraftwerk or Sven Väth ever did.

I began dejaying when i was 13 - when i was 17, i played the first time for a big audience.
In these days i was both influenced by New Wave, EBM, Punk, Ska and Industrial as by Italo Boot Mixes and Disco. In 1991, i lived in East Berlin where the Big Techno Bang happened, and i enjoyed the early Techno days in Tacheles and Tresor. Since then, electronic music has become my first love and i began to work as "Mr.Tentacles".

Back to my Hometown Freiburg, i was one of the founders of the local Techno Scene, although deep and underground sound attracted me more than the "Rave thing" after a while. I run the Saturday radio show "Electric Circus" at Radio Dreyeckland for about 8 years, mostly with my Partner Timodeus Feldmann, with whom i was playing in the electro focussed DJ Team "Electrostatic" for a couple of years.

I had several residencies and played in Clubs like the Ultraschall (Munich)or at Festivals like the Fusion - but uncommercial underground parties have always been my favorite place to play. I am one of the founders of the fine-music-meets-media-art-Collective  "Audioguerilla" which accents the "family approach" even more.

I grew up in an a heterogeneous atmosphere where Deejays of different styles have been playing on the same floor without any problems. As i compare a good DJ-Set either with good sex or a fine multi-course dinner:
Who would enjoy a meal with Pizza as appetizer, Pizza as main course and Pizza as dessert ?
This is nothing more than annoying. 

That's why i define my role on the decks either as dramatic adviser or as a fine cook - being able to adapt both to the current atmosphere and audience and to transport my sound visions as an artist at the same time. This implies the use of different styles: Ambient Dub, Deep House, Surreal House, Trance House, Electrofunk, MNML, Detroit, Old School Electro, Tech House, Techno, Dub Techno, Broken Beats and Dubstep, even Mass Rave elements have their authority when the situation demands it.

The last five years i studied Media Engineering at University of Applied Science Offenburg,
with focus on Computer Science and Audio production.
