20 years ago, I made her a goodbye mix. End of my first relationship, madly in love for almost 3 years

Back then already, music wasn’t just sound — it was therapy, adrenaline, connection. I grew up with house music. “Turn up the bass” cassettes on repeat. My older brothers spinning hardcore on two belt-drive decks in their room. I’d watch in awe, thinking: I want to do that. I need to do that.

They struggled with the beatmatching — I had to prove I could. And I did. On vinyl. BPMs no one understood yet. Fast, raw, hypnotic: Hardcore Till I Die! (Still live Hardcore) 

From hardcore to trance. Then into the smoother world of progressive, minimal, techno.. i like it all! My hands learned to blend emotion into flow — long transitions, no sharp edges.

When my first love ended (back in 2006), I made her a mix CD. A quiet thank you. Every track, every title, a hidden message. A friend designed the cover. I still remember beiing very emotional while mixing her CD.

And then — silence.

Until last month. She gave it back. After 20 years, she’d kept it.
I borrowed a CD player from my neighbour. Pressed play. Did not know if i mixed the tracks.. but I did! Flawless 🥹
And damn — goosebumps. Tight transitions. Vinyl warmth. I surprised myself.

I had it digitized. If you’re into electronic music, into progressive layers mixed from the heart — this might be your vibe.

No hard house this time 😉

Here is my DJ set from Monument Festival 2025 at Haven-stage.

This one started 10 seconds after my Liveset, and I must say it is by far one of the better experience I´ve had behind the decks (even tho I almost always look down and are way to focused!). I enjoyed every track and felt blessed having so many dear ones around me dancing and smiling while I was playing.
