(English) - FootPrint System, SawaSound Studio & ODG Prod. are
delighted to present this humble tribute to Mohamed Hamada Helal,
breathtaking Egyptian singer and songwriter from Sharqia. The
following reworks are based on songs extracted from Bakhaf album
(2002 - original track name « Allemny ») and a movie score : 3eyal
habiba (2005- original track name « Mastoul »).
« Those contemporary world music themes and middle eastern roots
seemed perfectly shaped for a dubwise adaptation. Therefore, we
decided to give you an opportunity to discover these thrilling Egyptian
vibes through this dubamorphosis of the original themes. »
Masala (FootPrint System)
The composition and re-arrangement of those tracks proceeds
from a fusion between FootPrint System’s spicy vibes, in collaboration
with the Egyptian dub master Amir (SawaSound Studio, Indy Boca
Sound System) in order to produce the final mix and arrangement.
This is a non-commercial release, a free tribute created to provide
the dub massives a little initiation to these musical roots. All rights
reserved to the artists credited above, any unauthorized copying,
reproduction, engraving, hiring, lending of those tracks is strictly
prohibited.

Fr - FootPrint System, SawaSound Studio et ODGProd sont
heureux de vous présenter ce release d’hommage à Mohamed
Hamada Helal, chanteur et compositeur virtuose né dans la ville de
Sharqia en Egypte.
Les reworks sont basés sur deux morceaux - le premier est issu de
l’album Bakhaf - (2002 , morceau original intitulé « Allemny »), quant au
second, il s’agit d’un single composé pour la musique du film 3eyal
habiba - (2005, morceau original intitulé « Mastoul »).
« Dès les premières écoutes, il nous a semblé que ces mélodies de
world-music égyptienne contemporaines pourraient faire l’objet d’une
adaptation dubwise intrigante. Ainsi, nous avons décidé de tenter de
vous faire découvrir les racines des musiques du moyen orient au
travers de cette dubamorphose des thèmes originaux. »
Masala ( FootPrint System )
La réalisation des arrangements dub des morceaux originaux est
le fruit du travail de collaboration entre les compositeurs de FootPrint
System, Masala & Dr. Kiko et le dub master d’origine Egyptienne Amir
(SawaSound Studio/ Indy Boca Sound System).
Ce release est un hommage non-commercial, une opportunité
d’offrir au public dub une initiation aux vibrations des musiques du
moyen et proche orient. Tous droits réservés aux artistes cités
précédemment, La commercialisation, duplication, location, et
diffusion de ces morceaux demeure strictement interdite.
