Born and raised in the Dutch harbour city of Rotterdam, Tica Tawih started DJ-ing in 2008 after being stimulated by friends. He always had a love for electronic music since the 90's and an admiration for the local and international underground scene with great DJ's and producers like Kerri Chandler, Michel de Hey, The Underground Crew, The Advent,Todd Terry and many others.

Next to this, Tica Tawih’s parents influenced him with a large variety of music from Funk, Soul, Ethnic, Hip Hop to Electronic and Rock & Roll.
Tica Tawih's DJ-style is a hybrid between old and new school deep funky acid flavoured Chicago/ Detroit House and Techno.

Being one of the resident DJ's for the events of one of the worlds’ biggest game developers Ubisoft and having played in different venues like Westergasfabriek, Supperclub, Rain, Jaarbeurs Utrecht, Vief & Vuig, Bootleg DJ Cafe and BIRD Rotterdam he was inspired to start his very successful Rock The Dam/RTD events in Rotterdam in 2011, introducing New School, Funky House & Techno. Next on the list Tica Tawih will bring these Rock The Dam/RTD events to a national and international level accompanied with his very own near future music productions.
