Feed Your Head: Scott Hutchinson Flash Flood Mix.

We first heard about New Hook two years ago when they contributed to Ombra International's infamous VA series. The Leipzig-based duo have been making their heady blend of new wave and post-disco since 2018, the year the pair released their debut single via local label Riotvan. 

The Ombra release followed with the ladies making another pitstop at Live At Robert Johnson, before returning to the home of their first single earlier this year for 'Manipulation', a punkish synth wave cut laced with their trademark sultry vocals. 

Their music is sleazy and sexy, tripped out and hypnotic; tipping the hat to the sounds of the 80s from electro and new wave to post punk and EBM.

Alongside an interview, the pair share a mix that encompasses the music that they love from dark, dub-wise electronica to slow, squelchy acid, leftfield electronics and DIY wave.

Hailing from Athens, @hara_katsiki brings a sophisticated sonic palette and perceptive ear to dance floors. She is a member of the Berlin-based label Wrong Era Records, a sub-label from Slow Motion Records and a dependable force within Berlin’s revered scene, which she now calls home. Este proyecto reúne 10 pistas inéditas, creadas en diferentes etapas y nunca publicadas oficialmente. Una colección que recorre sonidos entre el tech house, el deep tech y el latin tech, mostrando distintas facetas de mi proceso creativo durante los últimos años.

Estas piezas quedaron fuera de mis lanzamientos oficiales, pero forman parte de la historia que me llevó hasta donde estoy ahora. Con este compilado cierro un ciclo y dejo atrás esta etapa sonora para centrarme en un nuevo camino, con un enfoque más definido y una visión renovada sobre mi música.

Tronik Youth has remixed over 75 records over the last ten years and released over a dozen singles....starting off in 2006 with a remix for then unknown band The Gossip, he has worked for a variety of labels ending in 2012 with the creation of Nein Records with business partner/Friend Ian Considine, they have released tracks for The Decibels, Julian Sanza/Future Feelings and his own original tracks and an acclaimed edits series CTRL-S of which five editions will be released in 2014.
He has dj'ed all over the world, including South America, Usa and most of Europe.

Now 2 years later (July 2015) we're at 23 releases from a range of artists and remixers, with one release scheduled each month.


Duncan Gray (biog) : Perhaps best known as one half of the Sons of Slough along with Ian Weatherall - see discogs entry for details of releases. The Sons were a formidable Live act (see You tube) playing regularly across the UK. DG's own releases also gained some popularity, starting with cuts for Scatological (1996) Blue Black, Whole9Yards, SaltHill, through to Aquamelon (2009). Since returning to music production in 2013 he has released tracks on NEIN, Eskimo, Blindetonation, Play Pal, Rock to The Beat, plus Andrew Weatherall's vinyl only Birdscarer label. He has played guitar on half a dozen AW remixes.

I'm getting fussy these days...please email files to the email address above. (don't just send a soundcloud link please) If you don't know what the sound of this label is like, don't bother sending me stuff. I get quite a few demos with a note saying "I love the sound of your label" from producers who have clearly never listened to any of our releases.

PLEASE NOTE : 2020 release schedule now full, but I can always make room for something spectacular, or a really cool remix...
