Ahoi, ihr Landratten!
Wieder sind zwei Wochen auf hoher See vorbei und ich habe euch von meiner Reise einen weiteren Mix mitgebracht. Der alte Klabauter und Binnenschiffer Markus aka http://soundcloud.com/soundwiese heuerte vor kurzem an und legt sich mit seinem "Stormy Sunshine Mix" mächtig in die Riemen. Also, erweist ihm eure Ehre und lauschet seinen Klängen und teilt es euren Nachbarn und Freunden mit (sharing is caring) und vor allem schnackt mit ihm (kommentiert seinen Mix), denn es gibt wie immer eine Menge an Seemannsgarn zu spinnen. www.soundcloud.com/rolandson seinen Seasidetrip Podcast habe ich bereits vor einem Jahr entdeckt. Begeistert vom Konzept habe ich es nun endlich geschafft eine Antwort auf seine speziell melodiösen Strandtage zu mixen. Also bin ich ans Meer gefahren und habe voller Inspiration am heimischen Mischpult den Sonnenschirm aufgeklappt. Mein Soundwiese 2014 möchte ich mit diesem fröhlich vocal melancholischem Strand-Podcast eröffnen. Hiermit: Liebe Grüße an Roland :-)

Die Weite, das Meer, das Rauschen = die Natur zu erleben ist für mich immer ein magischer Anziehungspunkt, welcher die Batterie auftankt, vollkommen gleich ob Sonne oder Regen. 

Somit beginnt meine kleine Reise mit einer leichten Sturmfront, wobei sich der Himmel schnell wieder aufklart und die ersten Sonnenstrahlen hervorblinzeln. Der Rest des Tages scheint vielSonne, hier und da nur leicht bedeckt - die Strandparty beginnt. Genau diese lockere Open Air Strand-Atmosphäre habe ich mit melodiös fluffigem Deep Tech House und einigen vocalastigen Bootlegs aufgefangen, welche unbeschwert einen schönen Strandtag bereitet. Locker abhängen, Spaß haben, mitwippen, mitsummen, sich davontragen lassen - mal für ne Stunde die Zeit vergessen und sich Wohl fühlen. Nun, habt Spaß im Sand. Trocken oder nass. Bedouin was first featured on the label's 2015 Summer Sampler with ‚Flight Of Birds’ helping build their reputation as master music makers. 

Following on from this is their first full EP on All Day I Dream. 
Each track casts its own unique spell. One thing Rami and Tamer know is mood. Opening with 'Straight To The Heart' beauty and hypnotic vibes abound. Sounding as good pitched up as it does at it's patient pace, it's groove ignites the dance floor as well as the heart. 

‚The Way Home’ takes it's time to build textures and layers creating a more somber mood. 

The EP is close out with the vocals of Eric Volta on ‚Sight’, perfectly complimenting the overall mood of the release.

Jaco Perroud of the Sinchi Collective created Agharo.... a book, a philosophy and accompanying tarot deck. To celebrate its launch, we are inviting friends to pick a card and create a mix inspired by it. Third in the series is our good friend Frank Nijpels aka @sauerkrautmusic .

The Card

The sacrificed monk in eternal praise stands before forking paths where choices will elevate the righteous and stone the zealous sinner. He faces with lapidary cautious the fate of protecting that which he doesn't know  in the hope of liberation. Ortlen Ur represents doubts to the shadow, uncertainty and hard choices but to the light represent the birth of Marean the Sentinel, the overcoming of difficult times.

What was the thinking behind this mix?

Listen to your inner creature. It will only give you a glimpse about who you are. It is a small soft chorus, it never cries out against you. But if you are able to be quiet and truly listen, it will guide you on your way.

Agharo 03 - Sauerkraut (Ortlen Ur)

10 Years ago I was invited to play on this bus called Robot Heart by my good friend Swamy at Burning Man.  We were on the bus and I remember it would continuously break down but we didn't care because we were a bunch of friends doing this for the love of music and we had no idea this bus would become the magical Robot Heart bus that we all have come to love the past ten years.  Every year my set at Robot Heart has become one of  the most integral parts of my journey at Burning Man.  This is my gift to the playa and to each one of you and it comes straight from my heart.  We come to Burning Man to search about humanity and love and to be good to others around us and the bus helps us deliver this message through our music. Thank you Robot Heart, Geo, Swamy, Robert, Benjamin and everyone on that bus that puts so much effort throughout the year to make sure that bus brings so much love to our community!
