So, I really love this song. Easily one of the most beautiful songs ever written, from probably the best album of the 80's. 

Really happy with this one. I wanted to do a very stripped back version of the track, no drums, violin and much less piano. I think it turned out pretty well. Vocally I also think this is one of my best. 

Not the guitar I usually use but it's the only fully acoustic guitar I have, and it suited the sound I was going for.  The piano is done through MIDI on ProTools, and the "bass" part is just another acoustic guitar part playing the bass notes only.

And...yeah. Thanks for listening. Buy my album please hahahahahahahaha no really.

HEY CUTIES I HAVEN'T UPLOADED ANYTHING IN AGES THIS IS EXCITING

Yeah so a few weeks ago I had some free time at college so I decided to make use of the recording studios and mics there and record a few covers and this is the first one 

This is really one of my all time favourite songs so this was fun and I'm pretty happy with it

Usually I like my covers to sound a little rough and, well, shit. But seeing as I had access to this stuff I thought I might as well use it

I kinda went a bit crazy with the mics but I think it ended up sounding pretty good. I didn't really do a whole lot in terms of mixing, just basic EQ stuff and a little vocal reverb and stuff

So yeah there's a few more of these to come which I'll upload over the next few weeks

So yeah, new cover yaaaayyyyy enjoy cutie

So I almost made the schedule. Almost. 
I am aware that my voice can't really cope with Thom Yorkes vocals, although I think actually in general I do an ok job here, apart from a couple of the high notes at the end. But I've always wanted to cover this so I thought I'd just go for it. Also as I said in my vlog the mic I use actually sucks so it's ended up with the vocals a little too quiet and stuff, but yeah I think it sounds ok :)

So I'm quite proud of this one. Despite my hilariously low-tech drum set-up (see last vlog for details) and the fact that my ukulele for some reason never sounds like it's in tune and as a result clashes weirdly with the guitar, it turned out a lot better than I expected. Plus it's a fucking great song by a fucking great band so ENJOY! :D
