One Third Bit

Tickets Go Past was born in 2005 when Phil Mills and Joost Brouwer, who met while making music for an experimental theatre group, decided to start a musical project. The band now consists of 5 members, including Jusso Whistler, Willemien Ahuis and Willo de Bildt. Live, the band is harder-edged and more more accessible than on record, while retaining the layered sound and complexity that characterizes the band.
The original idea was simply to make music that the band members wanted to make and to be able to listen to it again. That seemed and still seems to be a valid and pure philosophy in these media-obsessed times.
The first album, Twelve Songs about Numbers (2008) was the initial result. It was followed by a second album, Mainstream, in 2011. The third album, the self-titled "Tickets Go Past" was released in late 2014. In 2018 there will be 2 Eps and a vinyl album.
