Shimmer

A solo studio venture that also exists as a band with a revolving live lineup of musicians, Tidal Peak was started in 2015 by songwriter Kyle Lacko, who performs all instruments in the studio, then recruits a cast of musicians to perform onstage. Influenced by bands such as Cocteau Twins, Talk Talk, Eden, The Chameleons and Dead Can Dance, Tidal Peak's sound moves between ethereal dreampop, gothic soundscapes and jangly post-punk, utilising shimmering guitars, atmospheric synth textures and ethereal vocals while being grounded by the mechanised rhythm of a drum machine. 
A new EP is expected to be out by mid-2019.
