My problem is me
It’s always been me
It’s a horrible part of me, sure
Feels more like a demon or an eldritch horror than a part of me
But I can’t hide from the truth anymore

Maybe it’s not completely my fault

But Pandora’s box was opened
And regardless of who opened it, I’ve become the consequence

I’m fighting in a war against myself
I try to train my mind to fight
But it fails me

My grief
My despair
My horror
My thoughts
My dark, twisted, self loathing thoughts
The thoughts that make me scream inside
To just end it all

Sometimes, in those dark places, I wish I’d never been born 
Not because I want to die
I can’t do that to my family
Rather because it would have been easier than living
To stay as a spirit living wherever we came from

My problem is me
My solution
I wish I knew 
I’m pretty sure I’m the solution 
But I have no idea what to do
