Throwing in all the bits and pieces to this. A really simple sequence on the Bass Station, A line running around that on the Odyssey. And then a string synth underpinning the rest. I may throw a Roland line on it tomorrow ... who knows!

Cyber-Commute

This is the one that sounds most like SIAF. I mean really like SIAF. If you don't know what that means, ask me.

Simple drum pattern that I haven't used much. 4 note bass line with a very Moog-y sound to it. A nifty 4 note bit on the SE-02 sounding very piano-y with a bit of echo. This came together really fast. Going to take a listen to it in a couple of days and see if it will go anywhere else.

Wilderness Of Glass

I always use the Bass Station for, well, bass. What if I flip that around? A basic beat that I use a lot, a simple 8th note sequence. Then I bring the STVC in. And it is in a nasty mood. I call this patch Devastate. It has such an amazing growl to it. So very simple, but it sounds cool.

Scared Botless

Been busy lately, so no synths. I started this one weeks ago, and was going to add to it. I still may. Simple sequence on the Odyssey, and a voice-ish sound on the STVC.

Wow, time to play with my synths!

Of course as soon as I finish, I come up with another idea for a synth line. I may do something with that tomorrow.

This has everything but the SE02 on it. 

My basic four on the floor beat, with some alterations to the snare and bass drum. A nice bass throb from the Bass Station. The STVC supplies the lead line, and the Odyssey follows that an octave or two down. 

I hope to have the first single for this up on Bandcamp soon. I just need to work out a few things. Music is written, words are written, they just haven't been put together yet. Soon.

My thanks to the folks who have listened as I have flailed around with my new toys. I hope to make it into something worthwhile.

Interstellar DMV

I had forgotten how I played this, so I recreated it tonight. It's notated now. 
All the usual suspects. 
Drumbrute, Bass Station II, SE-02, STVC

A couple moments are a teensy bit off, but I don't know if anyone else would notice them but me. I'm really getting closer to the sound that I want.

City Tomorrow V3

Interesting layers here. No synth is playing the same notes. I've layered the Bass Station 2 and the Drumbrute as the heartbeat. The STVC is in a voice-like patch and is underneath everything else. And the SE-02 is the lead line going over everything. I have one more line in my head, but too tired to do the rest at the moment. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

Surreal Walkways

I stumbled on this bass sequence by accident. It shifts depending on when you press a key. Gives it this nifty randomness. The Odyssey bit took some doing, I kept trying to get too fancy.

Dreaming Of Math On The Moon

This one has a lot in it. 

The Bass Station has the pulsing bass line (of course)
The STVC has the voice synth
The Odyssey has the brittle lead
The Model D has the deep bass
The Drumbrute pulls it all together

This is also a collaboration between Lizzie and me. She improved the Odyssey line a lot and played it. She also was the one who got the timing right on the Model D, after I kept missing an entrance. 

The title also reflects the direction we are going. Lizzie and I have been talking a lot about the plot line for the upcoming album. I think we really have it this time.
