It’s estimated that somewhere around the year 2025, the first computer will be manufactured with computer processing power roughly equivalent to that of a human brain. It’s not going to be sentient, mind you, but it will be a start. A tentative estimate suggests that AI will reach the level of a single human by the year 2040, and at a blinding pace, it will soon outstrip the collective intelligence of all humans that have ever lived. We can’t be sure what this new breed of super intelligent, sentient beings will bring to humanity, but we can be sure that no matter what the future holds, The Bearded Man will live on. Because let’s face it — nothing super intelligent could ever not appreciate the awesomeness of that glorious beard. The new robot overlords will take one listen to Alan Blancato’s Remix of ‘Give It To Me’ blasting from The Bearded Man’s cassette walkman, and they’ll know instantly that this is a brother worthy of eternal life and awesomeness.

Ben Stecker, with saxophonist, TijsS, provides a bluesy, soulful interpretation, making “Prophet 5” one of Tiefhaus’ most diverse releases.
