Their new EP "I don't have a name" coming on Third Colony Music on November 18th, which is an beautyful piece of art, is another proof of the fact that there is no drawer to put them into.

Tiefklang Podcast 024 - NC-17 (Dispatch, Metalheadz | Toronto)

Podcast #025 kommt von niemand geringerem als dem deutschen Drum & Bass Pionier, Typecell. Seit 1999 ist er im Game und hat mit seinen Labels Protogen und Subplate, aber auch mit seinen Tracks, Geschichte in der Techstep Szene geschrieben. 
Den meisten dürfte hier wohl der Egomatric Remix in den Kopf kommen, aber auch Tracks wie Echo Domination, oder Bad Illusions sind absolute Klassiker. 

Mit seinem Mix präsentiert er euch eine Mischung aus deep, dark rollendem Sound, mit cineastischen Elementen, der sich irgendwo in der Zukunft abspielt, aber auch an alte Zeiten erinnert. Dabei aber dennoch immer zeitlos bleibt. 

Wir sind mehr als happy damit dieses Goldstück raushauen zu können, schicken ein dickes Danke nach Kassel und wünschen euch viel Spaß auf dieser Reise durch fremde Welten!

Tiefklang Podcast 003 mixed by Dead Sync (Tiefklang | SB)

Ziemlich genau 1 Jahr ist es jetzt her, dass der letzte Tiefklang Podcast erschienen ist und wir haben uns in den letzten Wochen viele Gedanken darüber gemacht, ob und wie das Ganze weitergehen könnte. Schlussendlich haben wir die Ärmel hochgekrempelt und kommen mit neuem Konzept zurück.

Was wird anders, ist jetzt die Frage, die sich als erstes aufdrängt.

Punkt 1: Wir werden den Podcast um weitere Musiktstile erweitern. Zum einen, da wir unser Team um DJ´s aus dem House & Technobereich erweitert haben. Zum andern, um uns die Möglichkeit zu geben, uns an verschiednen Stilen zu probieren.

Punkt 2: Wir wollen euch Sets, abseits gängiger Club Selections, präsentieren und euch so auch das Spektrum an Musik zeigen, das wir gut finden, für das es aber keine Plattform gibt. 

Punkt 3: Der Podcast erscheint nun alle 4-6 Wochen, was erstmal nicht unbedingt neu ist, bei unserem bisherigen Rhythmus allerdings schon. 

Den Anfang macht 'Ceramic Minds', der nun auf zwei erfolgreiche Jahre bei Tiefklang zurückblicken kann und seit längerer Zeit über die Plattenteller hinaus aktiv ist. Erstes Produkt dieser Aktivitäten ist der Remix des Tracks 'Highland', den er zusammen mit seinem langjährigen Kompagnon 'Dead Sync' produziert hat. Das Original ist ein Technotrack von Lokalmatador 'Sven Sossong', dem 'Dead Minds' einen ordentlichen Twist verpasst haben und der am 27.03.2017 auf dem Saarbrücker Label 'Pickig' erscheint.

Nun heißt es aber Vorhang auf für Tiefklang Podcast 004, gemixt von 'Ceramic Minds'!

Tiefklang Podcast 004 mixed by Ceramic Minds (Tiefklang | SB)

Ausgabe 005, des Tiefklang Podcasts,  hat uns MPlus+ gemixt, der nun schon auf zwei Jahre als Mitglied in unserer Mitte zurückblicken kann. Monat für Monat, spielt er fesselnde und energiegeladene Sets, in unserem geliebten Keller und das kontinuierlich immer noch eins tiefer, noch eins deeper!  <3

Schon längst hat er auch über den Clubtellerrand hinaus geblickt, und betreibt seit einem Jahr einen LiveStream, der jeden Donnerstagabend auf www.twitch.tv online geht. Zusammen mit Symphonia, bedient er hier das technoide Verlangen von mittlerweile weit über 2000 Stammzuschauer und -hörer und bietet DJ´s der lokalen Szene, die er sich als Gäste einlädt, eine weitere Plattform, um sich zu präsentieren.

Dieser Fleiß hat sich schnell ausbezahlt und so kommen seit einiger Zeit Gigs über die Grenzen der Tiefklang hinaus reingeflattert und Mplus+ ist eine unwegdenkbare Größe der Saarbrücker Szene geworden. 

Seit neuestem sitzt er auch im Studio und bastelt an eigenen Tracks und bei seinem Engagement, kann es nicht allzu lange dauern, bis auch hier Output zu hören sein wird. 

Doch jetzt erstmal Lauscher putzen, für einen weiter außergewöhnlich guten Mix von ihm, der sich in etwas ruhigeren Gefilden bewegt, als das, was man von ihm gewohnt ist!

Ausgabe 006 des Tiefklang Podcasts kommt von einem ganz frischen Mitglied der Familie! FonAttack ist gerade als Resident zu uns gestoßen und wir dachten es wäre sinnig ihn diese Episode mixen zu lassen, um ihn angemessen vorstellen zu können! 
Schon ewig als Teil der Crowd auf den Tiefklang Parties am Start und schon lange guter Freund der Familie, machte er in letzter Zeit verstärkt durch seine immer besser werdenden Skills an den Decks auf sich aufmerksam und so spielte er seine ersten Gigs auf kleineren Veranstaltungen im Umland und bereits auch zweimal mit uns. Zum einen an Silvester im Garten des Mauerpfeiffer und auf unserem Exkurs nach Trier. 
Dort überzeugte er uns dann endgültig und es passierte das, was sich im Endeffekt wie ein natürlicher Prozess anfühlt, denn wie eben bereits erwähnt gehört er schon zum innreren Kreis und es war nur noch der letzte Schritt notwendig, es offiziell zu machen! 
Sein Podcast bewegt sich zwischen Halftime und breakig, deepem Drum & Bass und überzeugt durch eine starke Selektion und sauberes Mixing. Aber hört doch einfach selbst, lasst ein Herz oder einen Kommentar da, wenn es euch gefällt was ihr hört und folgt ihm auf seiner Soundcloudseite.

Tiefklang Podcast 006 mixed by FonAttack (Tiefklang | SB)

Podcast Numero 007 wird von niemand geringerem als der Mitgründerin der Tiefklangreihe selbst präsentiert. Kässrin Kelch ist nicht nur seit Anbeginn für die einzigartigen Layouts von Tiefklang zuständig, sie zieht auch im Hintergrund mit an den Fäden, kümmert sich vorbildlich um das Wohl der Gäste und denkt sich hauptverantwortlich den ganzen “Blödsinn“ aus, den wir hier und da mal veranstalten. 

Seit einiger Zeit ist sie auch hinter den Decks aktiv, wo man deutlich den Einfluss ihrer Tätigkeit im realen Leben zu hören bekommt, denn die gute studiert Klangkunst und steht kurz vor ihrem Diplom. Ihre Faszination für alles was klingt und Geräusche macht setzt sie hier gekonnt, installativ in Szene und verwandelt Alltagsgegenstände in Instrumente, die in den meisten Fällen Drones erzeugen und Räume in einen Teppich aus Klängen hüllen. Das ganze gemischt mit ihrem Fable für orientalische Instrumente und Klänge ergibt ihren Sound, den sie regelmäßig mit Gästen, die sie sich einläd, auf unserem Chill Out Floor präsentiert. 

Es ist faszinierend zu sehen wie vielseitig, kreativ ein einzelner Mensch sein kann, wenn man ihm den Raum dazu lässt diesen Zug auszuleben und eins ist klar: Ohne den Kelch wäre die Tiefklang niemals das, was sie bis heute geworden ist. 

Also öffnet euren Geist, lasst euch auf diese Reise durch Raum und Klang ein und schaut wo ihr gelandet seid, wenn der letzte Ton dieses Podcasts durch eure Lautsprecher schallt.

Podcast 008 kommt zum Jahreswechsel von Symphonia, die uns schon eine Ewigkeit als Teil der Crowd begleitet und vor nun mehr 2 Jahren den Sprung hinter die Decks gemacht hat. Von Techno, über Progressive House, bis hin zu Downtempo (aka Schechno), verfügt sie über ein breit gefächertes Repertoire an Musik und überzeugt in all in ihren Sets, mit routinierter Gelassenheit und einem genauen Plan wohin die Reise geht, auf die sie die Leute mitnimmt. Diese Routine enstammt den Sets, die sie dreimal wöchentlich auf ihrem Channel auf Twitch.tv (https://www.twitch.tv/mplustechno), den sie mit Lebenspartner MPlus+  betreibt, für Hunderte von Zuhörern ins Internet streamt. 
Vor gut einem Jahr wurde sie in die Rige der Residents der Tiefklang aufgenommen und somit endgültig Teil der Familie. Auch im Mauerpfeiffer ist sie seitdem als Resident geilistet und so liest man sie in letzter Zeit vermehrt auf zahlreichen Line Ups der Stadt und der umliegenden Region, wo sie von allen gefeiert wird. 
Man kann also mit Fug und Recht behaupten Symphonia ist in der kurzen Zeit ein nicht mehr wegzudenkender Teil der hiesigen 4/4 Szene geworden und wir sind gespannt wie ihre Geschichte weitergeht. Denn ihr unglaubliches Potential ist bei weitem noch nicht ausgeschöpft! 
Im nun zu hörenden Mix gibt es ihre ruhgiere Seite zu hören, voll von veträumten Beats, mit indigenen Einflüssen und Desert Vibes á la Burning Man. Perfekt für kalte Wintertage, zu Hause auf der Couch!

Podcast Numero 9 kommt von unserer lieben Helena aka Fauna! 
Sie ist seit Anbeginn der Tiefklang-Zeitrechnung Mitglied der Crowd und somit schon lange im Freundeskreis mit uns verbandelt. Als sie dann 2015 anfing sich hinter die Decks zu stellen, war schnell klar, dass hier ein großes Talent zum Vorschein kommt und es zeichnete sich genauso schnell ab, dass früher oder später die ersten Gigs folgen werden. 

Der große Moment kam dann an Silvester 2016, wo sie als Support für Zero T, im Schuppen des Mauerpfeiffer, ihren ersten offiziellen Gig spielte und auch gleich überzeugen konnte. Der nächste logische Schritt folgte dann im August 2017, als sie als Resident ins Team der Tiefklang aufgenommen wurde und seitdem in regelmäßigen Abständen bei uns, aber auch bei anderen Veranstaltungen der Region, auf den Line Ups zu finden ist. 

Ihr Style bewegt sich von Liquid bis Deep, mit Ausflügen zu Halftime und zurück. 
Sie hat ihre ganz eigene Handschrift, wenn es darum gehts Tracks auf besondere Art ineinander zu mischen, wodurch sie reihenweise Raver in Bewegung bringt und beim Auflegen jede Menge Energie versprüht. Sie ist somit ein Garant für Eskalation auf dem Dancefloor! 

Es macht einfach Spaß ihr dabei zuzusehen wie sie zu Strahlen beginnt sobald  der Mixer läuft, sich einsaugen lässt, die Welt um sich vergisst und unserer Crew würde definitiv ein großes Stück fehlen, wenn wir sie nicht in unseren Reihen hätten. 

Deswegen freuen wir uns besonders, euch ihren Mix für unsere Reihe zu präsentieren, wo schon beim Blick auf die Tracklist klar wird, dass hier jemand seine Hausaufgaben gemacht hat, immer fleißig am diggen ist und weiß was Qualität zu bedeuten hat!

The world of drum and bass knows many good DJs or better say DJs who started producing and because they were booked they started DJing aswell, out of the necessarity. There is a small amount of another kind of DJs doing quite the same job in general, but with that tiny but huge difference of being a DJ in first position and getting on that producing aspect, perhaps as a logical consequence of mixing tunes of other artists for years.
Don't get me wrong there are many really talented people out there who do it quite the opposite and were producer in first place but there are really a minority in a sea full of Drum and Bass DJs.
We proudly present the 15th temptation of our podcast, this time curated by nothin' less than one of those DJs I mentioned above, the dutch mixing machine Mr. Silvahfonk himself.
This guy really counts to the Top 10 DJs in the world and you can try yourself by searching the web, you will rarely find mixes of him which makes this even more special to some of you, I know this.
