TIEFWERK is a techno project from NRW, Germany, rooted in a long-standing DJ career within the German underground scene. Already at the age of 16, he won several DJ contests, which led to an early start as a DJ and local resident. Over the years, he performed in countless clubs, at events, and in radio and TV formats, consistently shaping his own driving and distinctive sound.

From 2004 to 2012, TIEFWERK was a resident and regular guest at venues and formats such as Fusion Münster, Favela Münster, Ruhr in Love, Dr. Vogel, Sams, and Glashaus. This was complemented by guest appearances on radio and TV shows, including Radio Herford, Radio Bielefeld, and Kanal 21. These stations reflect a deep connection to club culture and techno beyond trends and hype.

Musically, TIEFWERK draws on various projects and aliases that explored different facets of electronic music — ranging from funky grooves and minimal to uncompromising techno. Projects such as D’ma, 2Taktmotor (duo), Melnik, twenty4seven, and ultimately TIEFWERK represent a continuous artistic evolution rather than stylistic breaks. Today, these experiences are condensed into a clear and focused sound.

In his productions, the emphasis lies on melodic elements, deep atmospheres, and hypnotic structures. In his DJ sets, the sound becomes rawer, harder, and more groove-driven — always with the intention of shaping a space rather than merely playing music. For TIEFWERK, techno is not an entertainment product, but a state of mind.

The focus is deliberately not on show, self-promotion, or visual spectacle, but on an honest performance, a shared wavelength with the crowd, and the collective experience of the moment. The goal is to feel the vibe in the room and create something lasting through a unique, driving sound.
