This song is called "Gaston" a song about my girlfriends dog that passed away during covid. Similar to the "Fred is Dead" song I put out, this song is another way to celebrate an animals life in a way that doesn't feel so anticlimactic. One day, my girlfriend found an injured cricket and tried to give it a home. Everything was fine that night. The next morning when we awoke however... it was not... fine. She gave a name to the cricket before it had died and therefore was attached to it. So I told her I would make a song about this particular cricket. I have been listening to The Weeknd for at least a few years. I've always looked up to what he has produced and hoped I could one day produce something as good. This is my best effort right now at his song "Blinding Lights". I did not write his original song. However I did record all the instrumental parts for this particular song.

This song is very in between right down to the very notes in the song. The genre is very in between and some of the notes are played in between supposed "correct" or major notes. It's hard to pin down exactly where the notes are going and hard to pin down what one genre this might fall under. "Semi-Toned" felt like the right decision for a name.
