We've got a very special guest for Sublimix 83, he was bound to make it on the series soon enough, but the man himself came through early to fill in a last minute vacancy with his wicked smooth selections and blends. You may have heard Dubconscious play BC's Shambhala or Bass Coast, or from one of his well-loved mixtapes. Born in Toronto but now representing Nelson, British Columbia - he's been slinging dubs (and a member of Toronto's Dubslingers crew) for well over a decade, and is no stranger to hybridizing reggae and dancehall riddims with a heavy bass aesthetic - as exemplified in this expertly woven tapestry of fiery hot sounds. Featuring the works of underground veterans such as Mosaik, Bochum Welt, and Boards of Canada, as well as few choice original productions, this mix nails its mark through and through, blending tracks  with clever mixing fundamentals and just the right touch of finesse.
